Lovely clean and comfortable hotel and room. Breakfast could be improved - as a vegan there was plant milk when asked but with a focus very much on a cooked breakfast, the continental breakfast options could have been improved - cereals were boxed and limited pastries. Plant based yogurt would also be a welcome addition.

The hotel is centrally located on a beautiful beach front. The staff are accompanying and pleasant. The room and public areas were clean and free of clutter. There were improvements which could be made in the bathroom and parking was tricky but overall a nice stay.

The hotel is very good and our room had a sea view. The room was a good size with a large bathroom & walkin shower. The bar was large with small areas. Our dinner was good and breakfast was excellent as well. Check in was quick even though it was at the bar.

Perfectly relaxing

Fabulous! A truly relaxing home from home, with friendly and professional staff. We appreciated the quiet of our room ( we didn’t hear other guests), it's draftproofed sash window with view over the seashore, along with a comfortable bed and sufficient space in the room to be at ease. We really enjoyed the warm, cosy and relaxed atmosphere downstairs , the character of the place and tasteful interiors, and last, but not least, the delightful christmas tree in the dining area! And both breakfast and dinner were very tasty.

We really liked the way the breakfast was organised and offered personal service to specific tables. We loved the view. The Glendower calls itself a pub….. yet the rooms are clearly of a five star hotel standard. The staff could not of been more helpful about parking and taxi options. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had a really good time at the Glengower. All the staff were very friendly and kept on checking we were okay when we had our evening meal and breakfast the following morning. The place looks great since being done up (I last visited the old Glengower). Our bedroom was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The food was great and we will definitely be back in the new year.

Expedia states that parking is included and free on-site. There is no on-site parking - it is only street parking within council limits. We were lucky to get parking within walking distance; but there was very little free parking available when we checked in.

Room spotless but bed a tad too firm for my liking. No lift but we were luckily on the 1st floor and luggage was carried to room. Staff went above and beyond. Very reasonable rate. Convenient restaurant with good pub grub. Deserts scrumptious. Parking a bit of an issue on the weekend and worse due to works to the seafront.

Open day overnight

We had an amazing overnight stay at the Glengower. The host was very kind after a very long trip and took time explain everything. The room was tidy and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and the server couldn't be more helpful. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return. The view from our room window was amazing.
