Dundee resort is a beautiful place especially for the scenery. The place was in good overall condition except the golf course which needed a lot of work. It could be so much better though. Little things like a patio set on the cottage balconies, the steps going into the cottage could be improved.
The food in the dining room was terrible, nothing homemade, just frozen this and frozen that. For the prices they are charging you should be getting a lot more, extremely overpriced. I don’t mind paying high amounts for good food but I could barely choke down half a “smash” burger. The breakfast, for $23 pp, was a small buffet with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and soggy hashbrowns plus some fruit and cereal. Coffee and tea were included but no juices, those were $3 extra. We did not go back the 2nd night. Even the halfway hit on the golf course wasn’t good. Stale buns that wouldn’t stay together, buns were way too big for the hotdog (all you could taste was bread), and just your basic ketchup, mustard and relish for condiments.
You can tell they spent money on the aesthetics of the place but now try spending some money and getting some proper food and some small things around the property to really make it stand out.
The new owners have had it for 9 years now so I’m guessing it’s what it is, nice but could be really nice.
