A novel experience collecting the hotel key from a laundrette: not the best idea when your language skills aren't good and you can't access the key. I had to contact the keycafe.com chat service to troubleshoot access both ends of my stay. Unfortunately I also forgot to pack my black walking stick and only realised when I had safely returned the key.
The apartment was thru a small courtyard and on the 1st floor: it was the smallest apartment I have ever stayed in. My bed was a sofa bed, the wardrobe was an IKEA clothes rail, the shower room/toilet was very bijou (extremely small), the shower sink wasn't much bigger than A5 and that leaked at the bottom - not good! The fridge setting was far too cold, so food was nearly frozen, no instructions for the TV to watch English language programmes, so left it alone. I didn't mind the location so much but was definitely disappointed with this accommodation and Paris is one of my favourite cities to visit.
