Interior design is very modern, room was very cozy. Though stairs to upstairs which contains 2nd bedroom and bathroom was quite steep, so try to get single story room if you are planning to travel with elderly family member. Food was amazing, seemed to be cooked with fresh ingredients. Staff were very kind. They were very supportive and respectful.

The property is properly located at a quite neighborhood for people looking for privacy. Well renovated yet a bit modern as compare to other onsen ryokan in Japan. Staffs are super polite, helpful and considerate, exceeds most 5 stars hotel standard. The food over there are nice and the presentation is superb. It is just like an art...Each guest room has its own in-room onsen. Due to limited guest rooms, the public onsen is like private onsen most of the time. My family has an amazing stay there. Looking forward to re-visit the venue again if I come around Otaru area next time.

It was perfect. Seriously. Open bar with a pretty stellar collection of local Whiskey. Might disappoint those looking for Western Cocktails (they have them, but they won't be the best you've tried), but why would you order that at a local Ryokan in Otaru Japan?? Ask them for their "o-su-su-me" ("recommendation") and just enjoy yourself. Room was perfect, staff were helpful, food was excellent, and Otaru neighboring areas were so much fun for those looking to enjoy the Hokkaido region. Hope to stay here again one day.

숙박 시설은 작년에 비해 업그레이드 되어 더 좋았습니다. 룸서비스로 간단한 안주나 주류를 주는 것도 좋았구요. 다만 대욕장이 문을 닫은 것은 많이 아쉬었습니다. 그리고 작년까지만 하더라도 숙박에 저녁 식사(가이세키)가 포함되어 있었는데 올해는 료칸을 방문하고 난 뒤 이런 정보를 받게 되어 굉장히 당황했습니다. 료칸은 가이세키가 기본인데.. 료칸에서 연락 온 것도 알러지 여부와 도착 시간 여부 정도였지 저녁 식사에 대한 정보는 아무 것도 없었습니다. 작년 방문했을때 저녁 식사가 포함이라 올해는 그렇줄 알았는데 아무런 안내가 없으니.. 방문하실 분들은 미리 확인하고 방문하세요.

오타루 가족과 함께 여행하기 좋은 료칸

전통적인 료칸은 아니지만 깔끔하고 조용합니다. 현대적인 외관과 전통 양식이 혼합된 느낌입니다. 제가 선택한 전망에서는 창문을 열어두면 물소리가 들려 매우 좋았습니다. 직원들은 매우 친절했고 서비스 또한 훌륭합니다. 방에도 넓은 욕조가 있어 아이와 함께 이용하기 좋았습니다. 대욕탕에서 피로를 풀기도 좋았습니다. 여름이라 외부 탕은 벌레가 좀 있었지만 내부에도 탕이 있어 이용하는데 문제는 없습니다. 대욕탕은 현대적인 목욕탕 느낌입니다. 넓은 침대 두 개와 바닥에서 잘 수 있는 방이 추가로 있었습니다. 체크인 할 때는 택시로 이동했지만 돌아갈 때는 직원이 송영 버스를 이용할 수 있도록 도와줬습니다. 10:30, 11:10 두 번 이용할 수 있었고 오타루역 또는 오타루 칫코 역 까지 이용 가능하였습니다.
