The Basic Apartment in the annex separate from the actual castle, was really very basic. Especially in terms of cleaning and general maintenance, which was really a disappointment. It smelled like wet dog, The staff was professionally friendly, but did not really seem to enjoy their job. Surroundings were great however, including the park.

Front desk person Heidi was so unhelpful. She never pointed out hand written sign in Danish giving WiFi. Neither the sign in Danish that the luxurious dinning room had no alcoholic drinks. We said no to breakfast which she put on our bill anyways Dinner was so unbelievably slow that people were knocking on the kitchen door. This is a magnificent property but they need staff who are trained.

Our two teenage daughters, got to live out there princess dreams! Ask reception how to get into the tower - it’s a hike, but the view is amazing! The castle is generally a little rundown (but nothing that ruins the grandeur of this once stately home) Both our rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean! Based on reviews, we had decided not to have dinner at the castle, but there are some cute options near. We did have breakfast and it was excellent, with everything you may need to start the day with a full stomach - we took her out to sit in the gardens. There was a lovely free feeling to being able to roam the property and gardens. If you’re traveling through Fyn, I would add this as a stop (it was our daughter‘s favorite part of the trip)

Vi havde en såkaldt suite. For at komme fra opholdsstuen, som var meget gammeldags, men ganske nydelig, til bad og toilet og soveområde, skulle man igennem noget, der engang havde været en indgang, Soveværelset var meget snævert og toilettet var så småt, at man ikke kunne ungå at slå hovedet mod væggen, når man rejste sig.

I would stay again in The Apple House, it is really lovely, romantic and remote from the castle hotel (maybe even a bit scary away..). A bit ‘delapidated’ but overcomable. Beautiful cosy little cottage! A pity the restaurant was closed for dinner Sunday and Monday (our days there..) but a lovely breakfast could be ordered in the main house (the castle itself was empty on a Sunday night but looks lovely (but needs an upgrade of a few millions)

Hotellet är mycket nergången med icke fungerande tv och avlopps lukt. Restaurantens personal i kök och servering platsade bättre på en pizzeria utan rättigheter. De hade ingen kunskap om servering av den utsökta vin där fanns på vin kortet.
