I would definitely stay at hotel Christiania again. It is an old school, Bavarian style small hotel. Very quaint. The staff is as helpful and nice as they can be. The location is perfect because it is right on the edge of Vail Village, so you are just a few minutes from anywhere you want to be on foot, yet it’s quiet. The Mountain View room I had, was more like a partial Creek view room. The mountain is behind all the trees, so you don’t really see it. But it was great to have the sound of the Creek through the open windows. And you do need to open your windows! Even though the daytime highs didn’t reach 60, and overnight lows were in the 40s, it can be warm, so open your windows upon arriving, to cool it down for night. A great stay, especially for the reasonable rate.

The hotel is situated very close to the Vista Bhan gondola and it's the most convenient and affordable hotel offering a true ski in ski out experience. They do their best to create the truly Austrian ambiance which Vail was originally designed to replicate. In some ways the hotel is showing it's age but they do their best to maintain the elegant nature of this cozy boutique hotel.

This is an older hotel but well maintained. It may be the very best location in Vail and is THE best location near Vail Village. There’s no A/C in the rooms but that’s really not needed in Vail. They do provide a fan for the room and that’s more than adequate. We stayed in two different rooms over two nights and the shower in the second room was a little wonky in terms of temperature but it was functional. The cost to value of this hotel would be hard to beat. I was truly surprised at the value for a good room in such a prime location.
