8/10 Very good

Julia accommodated an early breakfast for us both days of our stay. Food was well cooked and tasty.

Nice, homely accommodation with lovely breakfast

From the moment we arrived at the guest house until the moment we checked out, the nice lady that hosted us was brilliant. She was always very friendly and helpful and cooked a remarkable Scottish breakfast. The room had everything we needed and was cosy and spotless. We thought it was excellent value for money and would definitely stay again.

Neat, clean Guest house short walk from Ayr Beach

Great little find. Had a very reasonably priced single room that suited me. Shared Bathroom was neat and clean but was up a flight of stairs.. Didn't find that an issue. Not far from the stunning Ayr beach.. see photos below taken the evening I arrived. Towels and bedding are definitely provided.. some-one had put that they weren't provided on the website I booked with (which did seem weird!). The cooked breakfast was also excellent.

Wonderful stay. Comfy bed and very quiet. I stayed single room with shared bathroom. No issues. Bathroom was spotless. I was not able to have breakfast due to work commitments but it smelt lovely. I would highly recommend and will stay again when in Ayr.

8/10 Very good

We had a great stay here and the owners are very friendly and a good choice of breakfast. It is very quite location within easy walk to the city center and other amenities. We won the top floor (great views at the rear) but as seen in other comments the last bend of the stair is quite steep and a tadge awkward around the narrow steps. It is definately not a room for those that have knee or hip problems. On arrival we were advised that we should have noted any disability/ joint problems on booking and a more suitable room would have been allocated if available. Unfortunately there is no space for this comment on the booking form when made through this website.

All was excellent from communication prior to arrival to check out. Charming hosts made me feel welcome. Room was clean and comfortable I was visiting the sights and everywhere was within easy range. A range of food places close by including a wetherspoons with great prices.

Watm welcome. Helpful. Pleasant outdoor sitting area.

6/10 Good

The guesthouse needs a refurbishment. Our room was very dated and had wallpaper pealing from the ceiling. The en-suite bathroom needs a complete re-do, the toilet even leaked! The owners were nice and the breakfast was good.

Not for us in Ayr

Stayed for a couple of nights was given a room on 3 floor last flight of stairs was very tight corner could on carry 1 bag at a time to be safe, room very tight for space and dated door to the bathroom was very hard to open so if you got up through the night you woke your partner with the noise pulling it open, heat in room was very bad and had to try to sleep with room and bathroom windows pushed wide open so the lone dog from the neighbourhood could be heard until the early hours until the gulls took over at dawn, so not the best place we have stayed at oops nearly forgot the stale breakfast cereal in the plastic containers yuck that said the lady owner was very pleasant

Perfect solo trip bolt hole

Peaceful, friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous breakfast, perfect room with everything I needed, best nights sleep in a long time, and great value for me. I don't do pictures. But try it out for yourself, it suited my needs, and close to the beach, nice for some barefoot beachwalking🤓

Booking system is hard to follow. I tried but failed to cancel my booking within the time allowed. I never even saw the Guest House, but I was charged £40.

8/10 Very good

Double room (not huge) with ensuite shower / toilet. Towels provided. Room was 3rd floor (tight stairs) . Very clean , nice hot shower. Breakfast was delicious with masses of toast. Paid £162 via a booking site (tried to book direct but was dearer -work that out...) for a 2 night stay -that's £81 each for room and breakfast -bargin. 4minute walk to a spoons pub ! Would stay again.

For a single traveler, requiring a budget, no frills stay, this was excellent. The location is very good, between the town and the promanade, and situated in a very nice residential area. The room was on the top floor, acessed by a steep, tight staircase, so wouldn't reccomend it for anyone with mobility problems. Typical guesthouse, the breakfast was very good and freshly cooked, which sets you up for the day. Yes, the room was basic and dated, but it had everything that you need and was clean and comfy, so was very happy and will definitely stay there again.
