Very nice

Sauntehus Slotshotel was a very good stay. The room was comfortable without being luxe, everything was clean and working. We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was excellent. The grounds and building itself were lovely.

We stayed at Saunte Slotshotel in july with our three-year-old son. The hotel hosted a wedding party without informing guests in advance. Loud music continued until around 2:00–3:00 a.m., making it almost impossible to sleep. As much as I enjoy MC-hammers "Can't touch this", it can get a bit repetitive being played for the third time at 02:30 when you are trying to sleep. Breakfast was another disappointment. We informed reception on arrival that my partner has a milk allergy and were assured this would be accommodated. However, the next day at breakfast there were no dairy-free butter alternatives available, and there were no staff members present to ask for assistance. The breakfast selection was also extremely limited, and not hotel standard. It was so disappointing that for the next two days we went and bought breakfast at the grocery instead. We were shocked to discover at checkout that we had been charged 1,776 DKK for breakfast (12 breakfasts at 148 DKK each). This was particularly surprising because our Hotels.com booking indicated that breakfast was included, and at no point during check-in or breakfast were we informed that additional charges would apply. To make matters worse, our three-year-old child was charged the full adult price. The Wifi did not work. Spiderwebs and insects in our room. Tried contacting the hotel by mail voicing the listed issues a week ago. Have yet to receive an answer. Stay clear.

Vi havde to overnatninger og vores oplevelse var helt forfærdelig. Vi bookede et “brudeværelse” fordi vi ved at ringe til hotellet fik at vide, at der på sådan et værelse ville være badekar og himmelseng - der var ingen af delene på det værelse vi fik. Flere af lamperne på værelset virkede ikke, hårtørren virkede ikke og der kunne knap nok komme vand ud ad bruseren, når vi skulle i bad. Der var ingen minibar eller mørklægningsgardiner på værelset - og der var ekstremt lydt, så vi kunne høre hver gang naboværelset gik på toilettet, i bad eller gik til eller fra deres værelse. Vinduerne var så beskidte, at vi næsten ikke kunne se ud af dem og et besøg ned til poolen var bestemt heller ikke en god oplevelse og så ud til, at den sjældent var i brug. Alt i alt en rigtig dårlig oplevelse.

Ett mysigt men kanske inte superunderhållt slottshotell. Trevlig personal men då det ligger lite utanför bör man varamedveten att restaurangen inte är öppen söndag och måndag och personalen går hem relativt tidigt och därmed inget att handla. Frukosten varierade de två vi fick, söndagen klart mer att välja på (fler gäster men ska inte påverka), måndagen bra men mer spartansk. Vi är nöjda med frfa 3-rättersmiddagen med vinpaket på lördagen. Det var riktigt bra. Totalt sätt nöjd men lite mer att önska gällande "faciliteter" övrig tid även om det är nära in till Hornbaek.

Hvis man vil markedsføre slottet som noget særligt og lidt eksklusivt så skal man godt nok tage sig sammen - men rammerne er der og skønne møbler/rum. Men værelset var ikke rengjort eller redt. Restauranten var lukket fordi værtinden var alene. Udlånsstrygejernet virkede ikke og morgenmad kunne først fås op ad formiddagen.

Not a pleasant experience. Came into the main Casle building and was shown outside immediately to enter an entrance to a older building away from the main building. Opened the door to my room and an intense smell from the pipes in the kitchen and bathroom met me. The sink filled up with water, and the place was not fully clean. Made a complaint and they knew about this problem but could not move me as fully booked and would not give a lower price either. Not what I expected from a Casle hotel. No one apologised or tried to make up for it. No service whatsoever.
