Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Clean, Neat and Tidy. Compliments to all the wonderful staff we met and dealt with. Always greeting you with a smile and they really gave us the impression that should we have asked for assistance etc... Nothing would have been any trouble at all. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection of hot and cold food. Most definitely we will be staying here again. A fantastic experience and can definitely recommend The Villa Rose as a great place to stay whether on a break or an overnight stopover you won't go wrong. Looking forward to our next stay already. Breakfast was good but you need to be early. Half an hour before the end, nothing was topped up fresh and some things had run out. Bar menu good. Room was clean. Staff were friendly.

This was our first time staying at the Villa Rose, and we couldnt have pick a better hotel, the staff were fantastic, the room, 273, was immaculate, spacious and the bed very very comfortable. We ate at the Forge bar on Saturday evening, and again, the restaurant staff were brilliant, the food plentiful, and the atmosphere warm.

Overall, we had a nice stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made a great impression. The bathroom was very clean, but the bathtub was quite tall, making it a little difficult to get in and out. Also, my husband is 6’2”, and the shower head was mounted too low for him to shower comfortably. The hotel does not have air conditioning, but they provide a floor fan in the room. We found that the fan kept the room comfortable, even without A/C. One downside was that the elevator was extremely slow, so be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy times. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with excellent customer service, and we’d consider staying here again.

My wife and I enjoyed a three day stay 17th - 20th May. We stayed in a twin room (148) on the first floor. The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. We stayed on a B&B basis, but we also ate in the bar in the evenings. The breakfast was a buffet affair, but the food was fresh and very tasty. The bar menu in the evenings was the same each night with a limited selection, but again the food was very tasty and reasonable. The staff in all areas were attentive and very friendly. We had 1 issue with a leaking electric kettle, but when we reported it, it was replaced within the hour.

Had a lovely weekend here, the room was just ok, needed a bit of attention in places, safe didnt work, sink badly cracked and constant clicking noise coming from somewhere. What made the weekend was the staff from the lovely Sinead in housekeeping and the fantastic staff in Forges bar where the food was absolutely superb, do good we ate here both nights.
