Wonderful experience, we only spent 1 night but next time will stay longer. Great staff and wonderful bar!

I was there for an event in town. Overall it was a decent stay, but I will not stay again due to pricing for 1 night. The staff was great and the brunch on Sunday was good.

Note that there is no elevator and no bell staff. The staff is otherwise hospitable and helpful and well located for exploring the older section of Frankfort.

A few glitches with an older property. Warm and humid in hallways upstairs and the air conditioner was loud and disruptive in room of our other guests. They ended up leaving the property. Hotel staff was gracious and comped part of our dinner. Great location close to Main Street.

The property is a repurposed historic home and the rooms very unique in the best way. Staff was so accommodating from housekeeping to restaurant and bar servers. Also, it's just a short walk to local shopping, restaurants and historic sites. We'll definitely be back.

The room was clean and cool on a very hot weekend. Staff was great in every way. Had Saturday morning brunch which was delicious and bountiful. You get a special feeling staying in a place that dates to 1815. Next time I'm in Frankfort overnight, it will be the Ashbrook!

Staff was very friendly, called and confirmed my booking and they upgraded my room for free. Atmosphere was awesome and the restaurant downstairs had delicious food. Wish I was staying longer so I could explore all the little nooks and crannies of this place. Will be staying here again. If you like the classic southern Kentucky feel this is the place to go.

Fabulous is the word for this hotel + restaurant + bar! Extremely accommodating as well as making me feel as if I were at a boutique hotel. Ate dinner on the first night and was sent to the moon over the incredibly delicious meal. Bar was fantastic and the bartender had some azaing creations. They all helped me with any questions since this was my first trip to Kentucky.

Very nice. clean but small hotel. Seems more like a BnB. The staff was great; the atmosphere was great and the smells form the dining room made me thimk of a five star restaurant.

Beautiful property, spacious room. Very comfortable bed. However no real options to unpack luggage, the only standing cabinet in the room has no hangers, no dresser, no table/desk, and only one hard chair to sit on.

2/10 Poor

Upon arrival I was meet with locked door. Check-in was at card table in hallway. Was taken to room 205. 2nd floor no elevator. By the way no handicamp were present at front or rear of building. Room has one overhead light, no lamps. The TV was nonfunctional and no one from staff could make it work! Apparently, you are required to have your one subscription. We ask about parking-you are to park in street. We were also informed that rear entrance would be locked and not subject to room code to unlock the door, this was also true for front door after 11:00pm upon our return at 10:30 the was no available staff. "Advertised a fully stocked bar. There was no staff available. Had to go into kitchen to find available ice machine. Again, no sign of available staff! We got up this morning and packed already to leave about 9:30am. No available staff to get coffee or to check out. This by far the very worse travel hotel experience that I have had in my 88 years of life! I know you will now write off my comments as a disgruntled old fart, After reading the reviews from a month ago something weird has happened here!

Our room was great, awesome bathroom! Our only complaint was that one of the beds was missing a sheet and our room was out of soap. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy check-in and out, easy access to the hotel.

The Ashbrook is a lively historic home repurposed as a boutique hotel. Our double queen suite was simply, but beautifully furnished and included a comfortable sitting room. The staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. There was plenty to do in downtown Frankfort with restaurants, shopping and historic sites just a short walk away. The hotel also has its own restaurant and bar with special food and drink offerings that reflect the unique character of Kentucky's Capital City. Highly recommend!

The room was clean and super cute. We did not have a mini fridge, only a little coffee maker, which kinda sucked. The room I got was next to the kitchen and you could hear everything on the outside of the room and people who work there walking in and out of that door. Didn’t feel like I had much privacy.

We loved staying here! The staff is absolutely lovely. The property is so charming and full of history. Only downside, since it's a historical building, there's no elevator and will have to take luggages up a flight of stairs. But still recommend staying since it's still a very nice experience.
