Muy cerca del centro, pero nada de comodidades.

Es una casa antigua y sin comodidades. Los baños bastante malos, sobre todo el de arriba que tiene la ducha muy pequeña. No limpian las habitaciones a diario ni te dan toallas limpias. Por lo demás La Cocina tiene de todo y la localización es perfecta.

Common room but I think will be better options

You have to call them as soon as you arrived to open the door. Which means that they don't think in clients it's not the best weather to be outside. Quick check in, the place has kitchen which is good prices in reykiviak are super high.

Location is very central - which also means it is noisy outside! As many reviews have already said the accommodation echoes and so sound does travel - you can hear door locks, foot steps, voices. The facilities are quite basic - the room furniture was functional but mis-matched and a little tatty. The kitchen has plenty of plates and cutlery but is limited with pans and pots - no measuring jug; it has a 2 ring hob only. There are 4 bathrooms (toilet, sink, shower) - 2x in basement, 1x on ground floor next to kitchen, and 1x on top floor [which was out of order]. It is better than a hostel though as you do have your own room, the linen was clean; the bathrooms have towels in. The building was warm enough. If you want a place to sleep, rather than cook and hang out there, then this place is fine - but take ear plugs! Keys are collected at a nearby hotel. In summary, it was ok, I think next time I would pay a bit more and stay elsewhere.

ロケーションは良いです。 レセプションはなく、近くのホテルまで鍵を取りに行きました。電話すれば届けてくれるらしいですが、寒い中待ちたくなかったので取りに行きました。歩いて5分もかからない場所です。 毎日、シーツ・タオルの交換はあると書いていたように記憶していますが、ありませんでした。 それ以外は清潔に保たれていますし、ゲストハウス以上を求めなければ何の支障もありません。 チェックアウト後に荷物をキープしてもらいましたが、レセプションがないので当然できず。お掃除のおばさんに聞いたところ、鍵を取りに行ったホテルであずかってくれるのでは？とのことでしたので活用ください。

The location is perfect, close to the downtown area, restaurants, bars and sightseeing. The electricity went out on our floor and it took almost four hours for someone to come and find the fusebox and restore power. In the meantime, we were left without any power and did not know when someone would come.

Spara pengar och bo här istället för hotell!

Jätte bra läge som är precis mitt i smeten, gångavstånd till det mesta. Eget simpelt med fräscht rum med gemensamma badrum och kök, dock vart det inte alls många som bodde där samtidigt som oss så det blev mer ett badrum per rum. I köket finns de nödvändigaste kökredskapen som kaffe och te kokare, gryta/panna skärbräda och kniv etc, delade kylar med resterande gäster men det är markerat vilket och vad som tillhör vilket rum. Så det är toppen om man vill spara lite pengar och laga några måltider själva men handla ej hos 1011 några minuter bort utan gå 10 minuter längre för att komma till Bonus där priserna ibland är det halva gemförelsevis. Världens trevligaste och hjälpsamma städerska som kom och städade de gemensamma utrymmena varje morgon.

This “ guesthouse “ needs a total overhaul

Excellent position within the town ; shame this once lovely old building has been left to almost rot , whoever ownes this guesthouse needs to give it some serious TLC ( tender loving care) ,needs money spent on it , No separate room for people that want to relax except kitchen or bedroom, an elderly couple occupied the kitchen table and chairs most of the day ... and evening which made it awkward for others who chose to cook , and not eat out . Luckily for us we had day and evening long tours booked most days The showers are pretty awful. Best pay a bit extra for a more comfortable room elsewhere.

Nice guesthouse. Perfectly close to downtown.My only criticism is it would be helpful to have more kitchen supplies(there was only one pot to cook).Also maybe replace the unused dishwasher with a small oven.

Not a Hotel, but a Guesthouse

Guesthouses are very different from hotels. If we wanted it, we had access to a kitchen and a section of a fridge. However we shared two bathrooms with seven other rooms, There is no onsite staff. Our room linens smelled like a secondhand shop when we arrived and the two towels that were provided were little larger than finger towels. We knew we were getting two individual beds but were expecting twin size not old single sized. Our room was directly off the kitchen which was in use almost 24 hours a day. Now that we know what to expect, we would use their services again but would request our room be further from the kitchen and we would bring our own linens and towels.

Perfect location, walking distant to anything in the city. Easy check in, hotel round the corner with keys! Clean, comfy, warm. All the basic things you need. Maybe just install black out blinds...

Rummet var inte ordentligt städat, det fanns damm på golvet och sänglakan var inte fräscha, mycket hår och damm. Gemenst kök var inte helt i sin ordning (t.ex mikrougn var smutsig och vattenkokares locket var sönder). Hotellet ligger mycket centralt vilket var bra! Detta betydde också att det var mycket biltrafik på gatan bakom guesthouse. Det ligger också en flygplats i närheten vilket orsakafe mycket oväsen. Guesthouse har dålig ljudisolering så öronpluppar är en bra ide! I övrigt var vi rätt så nöjda med vistelse.

Central but basic

It is basic but the room and beds were clean. Internet was very fast - good point. It was fairly empty, and if full would put a lot of pressure on the one small, shared kitchen. Great location in the heart of the city.

Guesthouse is centrally located near lots of restaurants and sights. Room is clean and comfortable, if basic (you get a towel and a room, bring your own soap). 2nd floor shower was out of order, so had to go to first floor for that. I found it hard to sleep well because of noise of other guests coming and going at all hours (I visited in June when it's basically light all night long). Wifi is very spotty; I saw more than one guest walking around with an iPad in the air, trying to catch enough signal to face time with someone. Checkout is a very early 10 am.

Superbra och centralt guesthouse, rent och fräscht. Lite lukt av vattenskada på en toalett är vår enda anmärkning. Sköna sängar och bra kök (dock saknas lite köksredskap)

スタッフがいないゲストハウスです。 冷蔵庫が共用部にあり、部屋ごとに区切られた場所を使えます。 ポットやフライパンもあるので、調理も可能です。やってませんが、、、 立地が良かったので、決めました。 周辺にはお店がたくさんあります。 4泊しましたが、タオルの交換がなかったのが、嫌でした。 エレベーターはなく、階段のみです。

très bien placé pour un séjour en Islande

Hôtel modeste avec SDB commune, matelas un peu mous et oreillers plats mais largement suffisant pour un couple de jeunes sans enfants. Cuisine avec frigo où l'on peut stocker quelques denrées si nécessaire (chaque chambre a son étage étiqueté dans le frigo, bien pratique). Très bien situé +++ en plein coeur du quartier du "vieux Reykjavik" proche restos, superettes et magasins. A 200 m de l'arrêt de bus n°1 "City Hall" ce qui a été très pratique pour les pick-ups des excursions. Quasiment tous les Tours Opérator proposent des excursions au départ de Reykjavik mais les trajets sont parfois très longs (côte Sud notamment). Il n'y avait pas de réception ni de personnel de la Guest House sur place, dommage. Gros bémol : par 2 fois des gens sont entrés dans notre chambre en se trompant, alors que nous étions là (dont une fois la porte verrouillée a été ouverte en pleine nuit par la clef d'une autre chambre !!!).
