I booked and paid extra for a Royal Room, exactly as shown in the photos and description. When I arrived, they denied it and said that was not what I booked. One staff member even said that if I kept arguing, they would change the pictures on Hotels.com, saying “you know I can do that.” That is straight-up dishonesty.
They then demanded extra payment for the room I had already paid for. No alternative room was offered. When I contacted Expedia, the owner started yelling and the staff were extremely rude.
On top of that, they tricked me into canceling my Uber and promised a cheaper ride. At the airport, the driver demanded 2,500 tl instead of 1,300 tl When I called the hotel, they just said “too bad.
I stayed at two hotels during my time in Istanbul. The first one was excellent, which is why I tried another — and this one turned out to be one of the worst. I travel very often, and I have never experienced such rude, dishonest, and unprofessional service in my life.
Rooms are not as advertised. The hotel decides what you get, even if you pay extra.
I paid extra for a Royal Room and still did not receive it. Avoid this place.
