We chose The Colony because it seemed to offer the best blend of a vibrant social scene and a coastal escape—and, after a few hiccups at the start, it turned out to be exactly that.
Our arrival was a bit rocky. The first receptionist seemed quite new to hospitality and struggled to assist us properly. Thankfully, the manager, Albir, stepped in and handled everything with care and professionalism. From the following day onward, everything went much more smoothly.
The hotel has an elegant yet relaxed vibe—chic, tasteful, and somehow still feels like visiting good friends or family.
Great cocktails, delicious food, lovely restaurant, and excellent staff all around. Big shoutout to Albir, Marina, and Fausto for going the extra mile.
The beach service is excellent, with complimentary transfers and cold water. The rooms aren’t too spacious—understandable given the hotel’s nearly 80-year-old design—but they’re cozy and well-appointed. One oddity: there’s no minibar in the room, and room service ends at 11:00 p.m., which feels a bit early.
Despite those few things, we would definitely return. A charming and memorable stay.
