As a solo traveller I was glad to find affordable single person accommodation. However the single rooms are downstairs and there is no balcony, or view or even a proper window. It is possible to be outside but it’s a terrace walkway between buildings. I am sure the upstairs rooms are much better. Excellent breakfast tho the buffet is waiter controlled creating much comedic confusion. Breakfast is ok tho. No tea / coffee machine in room and I’d been used to that in my other rooms in Italy. AC slow but quiet and did work. Take mozi repellent and plug in as there were plenty about but by being prepared I had no issues. Beach accessible from hotel via a private access. Loungers are not part of the hotel. Reasonable prices. Good location to get around Ischia and the town is lovely. Lots of really good restaurants. Bed was NOT comfortable- needs a new mattress but it didn’t break me All in all it did what it needed to and gave me somewhere to wash and sleep and base myself from to enjoy the island at an affordable price.

I'd like to give five ***** to the Hotel Rivamare. I am a solo traveler, I had a small size of room, it was very clean and quiet. At the breakfast room, the service was excellent! Close to the ocean that I went to walk on the sand beach in the morning and night. Short distance by walk to the port & bus stations. Near this hotel, there is nice coffee cafe, restaurants, mini market and a gift shops. I was so happy to choose the Hotel Rivamare.

Not as advertised Says access to a private beach and shows sun loungers, these are €23 so not free and not part of the hotel. WiFi was terrible. Breakfast is a buffet style breakfast but not self service, can’t see what there is. There is a language barrier which is fine but without signs etc we ended up a coffee and croissant rather than be left baffled and embarrassed by the process, Advertised with a sun terrace, there is one we can see it but the stairs are sectioned off and was told not for guests. Have to leave key at reception when you go out, wasn’t told this at check and was shouted after when left the hotel. No one checking in how is collecting the keys. Could have been anyone just pointing to a room key and getting it. This was the last hotel of a 10 day trip travelling around Italian islands and this was the most expensive as we thought we would splurge a little. It was considerably worse and double the price

When I booked on Expedia the hotel had amenities such as a pool and hot springs. When we arrived it was clear this hotel never had these features. Is there anything that prevents the property from editing their hotel listing after booking? Overall a nice hotel with terrific apartment Terrace right overlooking the beach. The place was good for a one and done experience, but I would not go back because of the omissions listed when we booked.

Location is perfect, right on the beach through a little gate and selected pizzeria and beach clubs offer discount when you mention being hotel's guest. Service is good and staff is very helpful. Our room, unfortunately, was not what we expected. We booked a parterre economy room which means ground floor (french word) but instead it was lower ground with only a small window high up which we couldn't open and an unpleasant smell of sewage coming from the small, crammed bathroom. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the furnitures old and smelly. Definitely need an update.

It was a nightmare. I booked this place for 3 nights. I was given basement room, air conditioning was not working and it was hard to breath there. After sleeping 2 hours i woke up with bites all over my body. The room was infested by mosquitoes. This was first time in my life that during my 50 years of travelling I would check out after one night stay. The man at front desk was surprised. I asked him to go to look the room. He didn’t go. His only interest was to charge me 3 nights. No apology.

Not like before but we'd still come back here

We have stayed here before and loved it, but we came here in June, not the end of September. Before I book anything I always make sure that the air conditioning will be on, IT wasn't!!! Asked for a fan, got one, it didn't work for me or the desk manager when I took it down. Thankfully it was cooler that night and we left the inside doors open and outside doors that had screens on them closed, we were comfortable. Unfortunately, we had mosquitos that night and my wife's face had 13 bites on her face which made her look like she had the measles and I had only 8 on my forehead. Where did they come from, we don't know...point - if we had A/C it probably would not have happened. The breakfast bar wasn 't like before, not as many things to pick from etc.. Let me say, the first evening was great, we got to lounge at the beach for a few hours, had a Great lunch/early dinner at the restaurant on the beach by the hotel, it was really great! Unfortunately it rained for 2 days, we needed the rest anyway.

Localização excelente, com uma linda vista para a praia. Quarto amplo e confortável, com uma varandinha externa. banheiro bom com chuveiro excelente. O café da manhã é servido numa área externa com uma vista deslumbrante, mas não é do tipo bufet, tendo o hóspede que pedir ao funcionário a comida, mas que é de boa qualidade. Só que eles não falam inglês (só italiano), dificultando a comunicação.

Absolute Traumlage direkt am Strand Mein absolutes Highlight jeden Morgen das tolle Frühstück mit direktem Blick aufs Meer Die Lage für Ausflüge oder einen abendlichen Spaziergang in der Fußgängerzone könnte nicht besser sein Wir hatten die günstigsten Zimmer im Parterre gebucht, dass nächste Mal würden wir lieber eines mit Balkon und Meerblick buchen. Zum schlafen war unseres aber völlig ok Preis Leistung sind meiner Meinung nicht zu toppen

Hotel in cui tornerei sicuramente per un altro soggiorno a Ischia. Raggiungibile a piedi dal porto in 15 minuti, lontano dal macello della via principale, fronte spiaggia (piú o meno a 5 metri di distanza da stabilimenti e spiaggia libera). Colazione ottima con scelta al buffet ma servizio al tavolo. Unica piccola pecca per qualcuno che dovesse essere particolarmente pretenzioso, camera piccolina e non tanto insonorizzata. Grazie anche al personale ottimo 👍

Gammelt og ikke tilfredsstillende

Generelt fint hotel med god beliggenhed. Dog noget gammelt og slidt på værelserne. Rengøringen var fin fordi der virkede rent. Dog en lille plet på lagnet. Bemærk vi fik et værelse i kælderen, badeværelset var nydeligt - sengen var nærmest blot en hård kasse, to madrasser som var sat sammen så over natten røg man ned i mellem, indgangen blev delt med de ansatte og folk som kom fra stranden. Da vi skulle ind om aftenen kunne vi ikke komme ind, da personalet ikke havde fortalt dørene var låst og indgangen var en efter. Får du et værelse i kælderen, deler du loft med restauranten som gør at fra køkkenet begynder at lave morgenmad er der utrolig meget larm. Ingen vinduer på værelset men en lille dør som ledte ud til en lettere beskidt baggård. Det meste af kælderen lugtede kraftigt af rengøringsmidler som om den anden lugt af jordslået skulle dækkes.

Ubicado a primera linea de mar, se puede observar desde la terraza cuando se desayuna. A 10-15 minutos de la estación de autobuses que circulan por toda la isla. Desayuno excelente, la fruta está en su punto, muy dulce. Todo está muy limpio. El personal es amable y colaborador. Únicamente comentar que las habitaciones de la planta baja dan a un patio comunitario con vistas a una paret con lo que encontramos a faltar una visibilidad que nos diese mayor espacio. La habitación que tomamos era la economica. Se puede optar de mejores condiciones a partir de un suplemento.
