my first time to Doha. All hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. We have 15 people stay in 4 two bedrooms suites. Each two bedroom suite is super spacious and tastefully decorated. Serve fantastic breakfast too.

Perfect for families

We stayed in a suite for 6 days. We booked a 2-bedroom suite but we got a 4-bedroom suite. The suite was clean, tidy and fully furnished, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable and there is a TV in each bedroom. The room service is excellent, and the hotel offers an indoor playing area for the kids from age of 3, where kids can play for free without the supervision of their parents (from 9 am till 8 pm).

Nice Residence Suite Apartment

This was a great place to stay with friends as we celebrated a birthday. The full service apartment was way better than expected. 4 bedroom 4 bathrooms but only one with a soaking tub. I would surely be back again. Also there is a beach nearby but it is not for relaxing. We believe that there is construction going on there.

Stayaction during cycling race

My family and I had to relocate to the West Bay Kempenski location to avoid road closures during the cycling race. While it was a tough situation due to the transition for our toddler & newborn; the staff at the kempenski went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. They consistently checked to see if we needed anything. The concierge even had the chef send a fabulous congratulations cake for us to celebrate having a new baby. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Bad service and dishonost staff

My stay at this hotel was bad because of the bad quality of the room service. It was the first ftime for me to have a very low standards services at 5 star hotel like this. They never clean the suite till I call them about 5 pm. They did not bring the newspaper as usaul every morning. Staff at the reception most of the time were dishonot when we ask for any service.

Kempinski Apartments - not for business travellers

The hotel was located in a side road in a somewhat new development area that didnt have regular access to taxis. So you were forced to use the hotel's overpriced (ie 4 times the normal price) to get to meetings. And their driver was clueless when it came to directions. The hotel service lacked warmth and support from staff that a business traveller needed when in town for only 24 hours. I would definitely stay at the W Hotel literally next door, as it felt more alive, more warmth from the staff ie what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The Kempinski's apartments were nice, but not for business travellers, more for a family holiday. The one bedroom apartment I stayed in had a horrid view of a building next door and the windows were very dirty so I kept the sheer curtains closed during the day. Only the 2 bedroom apartments had a view of the water apparently and were on the higher level. I was on the 4th floor. Room service wasnt great, as club sandwich was very oily, and the menu said it came with fries but it didnt. I was in a rush so didnt have time to raise it with them. I would definitely not stay here again as it felt like a ghost hotel, hardly any guests or ambiance.
