It was a quaint historical inn in a beautiful woodland setting. The check in was a little tricky, but the staff member Marion was very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were very clean, quiet and spacious. I will be staying here again in the future.

This property probably quite nice at one time. The potential is huge. It seems that whoever owns the place is happy allowing it to fall into disrepair and ruin. I read some of the diary entries in our room and it seems that a lady named Lisa was the driving force making this place wonderful but with the end of 2025 the downward trend began. I don't know what happened to her.

We arrived late around 1:00am. We weee staying in the Carriage House. We weren’t sure what place that was. That’s really the only complaint. We suggest having a sign that clearly states that. No biggie. Maybe there is one there and we didn’t see it. We finally found our room. Beautifully old and charming. Exactly what you would expect in an older Bed and Breakfast. The current owners are in the process of making a lot of upgrades. There is construction going on but, hey that has to happen with upgrades. There were a few items with the room. We were able to call the caretaker Jim. It was around 2:00am. We were expecting to get no one and if so they’d be annoyed at the time. Well that was not the case. Jim did everything to resolve the issues quickly and with a happy professional manner. I actually couldn’t believe it because I can’t imagine myself being that courteous that early. We want to thank Jim and his girlfriend Miley for making our stay wonderful. They were so helpful and even recommended hikes and places to eat which were great. The other guests seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. We will defiantly go again. Can’t wait to see it finished. Ok. Side note. If you are accustomed to high end B&B well this might not be for you. If you like to be away from the chain places and you like beautiful historic places. Well you can’t go wrong here.
