Had a lovely two night stay at this peaceful location in the heart of Wales. Communication from the owners was excellent. The lodge had everything we needed - we felt at home and welcomed.

The actual cabin and area were really nice, the cabin has aged a little from the photos and the outside area seemed a little unkept, but the inside was perfect. Our only problem was when we arrived at around 3 pm (we messaged prior through hotels.com that we will be arriving around check in time and had a couple of questions but received no reply) we didn't have no code to access the key safe, so we rang the numbers on the property details page and it said the number was inactive and had also messaged through the hosts chat but still no reply. We ended up finding the phone number for the host but no response from any (went straight to voicemail). Long story short we ended up talking to the park warden (he was really helpful) and he managed to get the code from the cleaning lady, which was an hour or so after we arrived after hunting for any key code. We did finally get a response from the host but that was over 2 hours after we arrived and tried to call him, not impressed since we couldn't unpack and start our evening properly. Overall it was a nice cabin in a nice area I just hope next time we receive the code earlier so we can have a smooth check in.
