The room was clean and the staff were welcoming. However, the surrounding area lacked basic amenities and infrastructure. It felt almost deserted, with most restaurants and shops closed. First time travelers to Jeonju and extremely impressed. For us, we traveled with a toddler and chose the traditional room which was beautiful and fully stocked with all the necessary amenities. We especially appreciated the floor mattress provided for our toddler. The cleaning crew was very kind and helpful to remove trash in regular basis (diapers) while also trying to prioritize sustainability and not being wasteful. We also utilized the laundry units which the staff helped us too. The location was central and walking distance to many restaurants and shopping districts. The restaurant on first floor was great for breakfast and we also dined at the rooftop bar. The food both places was wonderful and tasty. Overall very pleased and will be staying again. Highly recommend.

Beds were very comfortable that I could have deep sleep. Rooftop restaurant located on the 11th floor is beautifully decorated and the staff working at there was so kind and agreeable. No meed to mention tasty food at the rooftop. Except concierge desk service, I recommend this place and would like to visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shilla Stay. It is fantastic for two people. We actually got upgraded to a room with a double bed and a single bed. The single bed worked great as a couch because there was a table and one chair right there; you could just sit on the edge of the single bed like a sofa. What we liked about the hotel: 1. The showers and the air conditioning worked really well. 2. The beds were very comfortable. 3. The cleaners did a good job everyday. 4. There is a fantastic rooftop bar (with makgeolli tasting board) 5. Has a pleasant lobby area for laptop work. 6. Bidet is in English 7. Has a great gym 8. The location is excellent: (a) It is within the boundaries of the old Jeonju walled city, so it is very close walking distance to all the local sites like the South Gate, Nambu market, Junyang wet market and Save Zone department store. (b) It is walking distance to an area similar to Myeongdong Seoul. (c) It is walking distance to the main road, making it very handy to catch a bus up to E-Mart, and Homeplus, and other places like Dukjin Park. (d) there's a GS25 just outside the hotel. There are lots of Korean restaurants everywhere nearby, the staff very friendly and speak English well. We really enjoyed our time there.

The hotel is in a great location, and the breakfast café was particularly good. The rooms were comfortable and overall well-maintained. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The coffee service was disappointing. The room only had one instant coffee packet and an old coffee pot, instead of a modern coffee machine with multiple options. Additionally, guests are not allowed to take coffee from the breakfast bar to their rooms, which I found inconvenient.
