Check in was quick and easy. When we went to our room, we were disapointed that one of the cups still had tea/coffee marks on it and there were yellow marks on the bath. I washed these off so were missed by the cleaner!! We went to the bar for a few drinks and asked if we could set up a tab as were eating later and staying at the hotel, but was told "no its pay as you go" which is fair but we have a greene king friends and family card so just saved our discount until we had dinner. Breakfast was okay and overal we used Tesco's vouchers so for £20 bed and breakfast is very good value but we would not pay £86 that it is advertised on the greene king app.

This is a really cost effective and reliable-road trip stop hotel with free vehicle parking on site - it is good for a single night stop and it is well set up with very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Everything works but our only criticism is they should refill the bathroom soap dispensers (ours were empty) and the next time they refurbish rooms they ought to zhuzh it all up a bit.

I was disappointed that rather than Greene King it was attached to a Hungry Horse, a particularly low-quality good chain. When I entered the hotel reception, the member of staff was helpful and moved my room closer to the stairwell as they had no lift, making it difficult for me to move my suitcase. The room itself was OK until I noticed stained sheets. I requested a bath and instead had a shower only. In addition, the soundproofing is extremely poor so I was able to hear conversations from next door and outside of my room. I was informed that the restaurant would be serving food until 22.00. As I was out for the day, this worked well. I arrived to the restaurant for 21.00 to be told that the restaurant stops serving food at 8.50. As such, despite written and verbal proof of 22.00 end times, I had to order an Uber Delivery which h did not arrived until 22.30. As someone who had GERD, this caused issues. The following morning, I went to the restaurant for my breakfast. I cannot explain how awful this experience was. Staff were busy elsewhere so I was forced to wait for ten-minutes before being seen. Whilst waiting, I helped myself to toast however there was only one butter available and no cutlery. Eventually I ordered eggs on toast. When it came, it had large pieces of egg shell and the egg was not cooked whatsoever. Ontop, and underneath especially, the clear egg had a thick coating over my toast. Pictures were taken and I am awaiting a response. Food safety risk.

I do a job in Dunstable every year and generally stay here. It’s good straight forward no frills accommodation and priced accordingly. Good breakfast, evening food is typical pub grub. Will stay again.
