OK country hotel needing a facelift

Automated check-in system, which can be a bit impersonal for guests used to more traditional systems. However, the staff were great and very keen to help. For the price paid, I felt a little short-changed. The bedroom and bathroom really need an update although the bed was comfortable and I slept well. The evening meal buffet was basic but tasty and quite good value for around £23. Breakfast was also basic but adequate and included in the price. Internet speed was great. The location was quiet and in the countryside and suited my purposes well. The big plus was the staff!

This hotel was a great choice and place to unwind on my drive back from the west coast to CPH. I was surprised there was a free dinner buffet too. I knew about the breakfast one. Both were very good and had the biggest offering I saw in Denmark hotels. It's in a quiet town and has a big yard with tables, where guests can relax.

Told I needed a reservation for one when down at the restaurant but I could order room service from the chef who put on only 2 choices of starter/main/desserts. I don't really get the difference, plenty seats at the restaurant. Bathroom must have had recent work done as some trash was just dumped in there, used tissues and what looked like old bits of sealant scattered. Nickolas at the front desk was very helpful however, 10/10 for him.

Highly misleading information on the website

Awful service. The bed had no sheets, no comforters, we had to ask for them. The paper was out in the bathroom. The water in the bathtub only was like warm and had a very poor flow witch made the bath cold before it was filled. The evening meal in the restaurant had only one dish to choose from. The breakfast was worse, the majority of the trays were empty (fruits, vegetables, black tea, rolls, bacon, gluten free bread, orange juice) and what was shown on the website was missing.

Not worth it

The restaurant appeared to be closed on a Sunday so we needed to take the car to find a place to eat. There's a charging point for your car, but didn't work. Due to renovation, we were upgraded to a superiour room. It didn't feel superior and was wondering what a standard room would look like... A shower curtain really should be banned from hotels. No personel at breakfast so they asked you to clean your own table. All together a lot of money for what you get.

Alt er rent og pænt. Der bliver gjort rent på værelset hver 4.dag, hvis man bor der så længe. Man kan dog bede om hyppigere rengøring. Hvis man mangler rene håndklæder, lagner med mere, er der en linned rum tæt på ens værelse/rum hvor man selv kan hente nyt og rent. Morgenmaden er super. Personalet er meget venligt og professionelt. Der mangler dog som på de fleste hoteller, mulighed for at placere sin champoo og sæbe i en lille skål eller lignende i selve brusekabinen. Tag evt selv en med til at hænge på en lille krog eller med en sugekop på væggen. Der mangler også opbevaringsplads til medbragt skiftetøj (under længere ophold)

Hurtig og nem check in på skærm, pænt og rent værelse og meget fin morgenmads buffet. Inden opholdet forsøgte jeg at kontakte hotellet telefonisk mange gange og på mail 3 gange. Telefonen ringede ud og gik på svarer hver gang og mailen blev besvaret med samme autosvar hver eneste gang. Dette var til stor irritation og i vores øjne meget underligt for et kæde hotel i den størrelse. Vi var meget skeptiske og havde hvis muligt ombooket til et andet sted. Ærgerligt at have det sådan, når det hele viste sig at være i orden.

Vi er meget begejstret for Hotel Thon i Sorø. Det var et dejligt værelse med udsigt til vinmarkerne og de sjove flyttebare bænke. Dejlig aftens mad og salatbar, der var rigeligt af mad. Super god kaffe og kage. Vi sov rigtig godt i roligt miljø. Morgen maden var af international standard. Mere end vi kunne spise. Personalet var en kvalitet for sig. Tom og Hanne værelse 112.

Virkelig kedelig oplevelse. Langt under foreningerne. Personalet var uprofessionelt og ikke imødekommende. Det virkede som om man var til besvær når man spurgte om noget. Vi fik et værelse hvor der allerede boede andre og fik først et nyt værelse da vi insisterede Ingen drikkevarer til maden og det var lige som at være i en kantine. Virkelig dårlig oplevelse, sært ikke pengene værd
