Great time at the Black Forest Lodge!

Check in was quick, the rooms are perfectly what you would expect in a mountain town, clean, great views, everything is walking distance. This is right by the village and there was so much to do, so many shops, places to eat, places to drink, tattoo shops, we did it all.

The room was spacious and welcoming. We ended up right on Big bear Boulevard so there was a little traffic noise and car lights until late in the evening, but would definitely stay there again if not in the building on the main street. Parking was very convenient and they had several dog friendly areas.

This was a great place, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. We had planned on going out to dinner, but saw the Weber, and decided to grill instead. Our cabin had a jacuzzi in the room which was fun!

The staff was really great they make you feel welcome and always helpful. One thing tho is the room we stay at didn’t have AC so it got pretty hot during the day and during the night we were provided a small fan but didn’t help much, hopefully they change that but overall it was great close to many good diners and places to visit

The property has a lot of history and the ambiance was great. The room could have been aired out a bit, was stuffy and had an awkward smell upon entering, but once we opened windows and turned on fans, the smell went away. The room was comfortable and good size for 2 people.

Great and affordable

It was a great and affordable stay especially being so close to the strip and being around a ton of food places and grocery stores. Other than that the only reason I didn't give this stay a 5 is because the room smelled like dirty diapers. I'm used to it since we have 2 littles, but again nothing but a couple of smell good spray and we're golden!

My grandma‘s house.

It was a great location and a very relaxing place to be. The check-in clerk Jacqui was amazing as well as the checkout clerk Heather. The decor is something you would step back into the 70s with. Under new management and renovating the place. I would definitely stay again, but would plan on not eating breakfast there, bringing a clock as well as Kleenex. The pool was nice and warm and the Jacuzzi was clean. It’s very dog friendly. they have coffee all day. They also have video games in the lobby to play.

Was a nice place but they had no TV had to sign up on your apps like netfix to be able to watch. Check out was so so no one shown up for front desk so no continental breakfast came back around 1030 am still no one so the maintenance man took the key and said he let them know. Call around 330 pm front desk finally answered they said they got the key and they did send me a receipt. Over all though good stay.

Our stay here was excellent. It was close to everything like stores , restaurants and entertainment. Jackie the front desk receptionist was very informative and friendly. She made our check in very comfortable and easy. This place is renovating most of their rooms and ours as well was recently done as well. It was a small room but cozy. It had natuarl ac which was a celing fan and windows. Some rooms do have ac. When we come back we would like to book the family room that was really big inside with a full kitchen, loft and living room area. It wasnt expensive staying here. They also have a pool and jacuzzi close by that looked very inviting.

It was an inexpensive place to stay for a long weekend. Very basic, and couldve been slighly cleaner. Hair found in bed, and lightbulbs burned out. TV wasnt working. However it was a quick getaway and we were not there to hang out in the motel! Friendly staff and felt pretty safe, secure and QUIET which is exactly what we look for in nature! Many great things in walking distance! Location cant be beat!
