Very nice location; walk to the beach or into the old town was easy. Room was comfortable. The shower, of course, had the usual European design that spreads water on the bathroom floor, which was a bit tricky for my wife who has mobility problems. There was also a metal shelf placed along the bedroom wall which was a bit of a hazard. We liked the wheelchair lift to the dining area. On the other hand, also typically European, the thresholds for every doorway were awkward for a wheelchair with small wheels. Meals were excellent; breakfast buffet had lots of choice. Part of the visit occurred when the restaurant had closed for rennovations and guests ate in the bar. Dinner coincided with a big rain storm that caused a bad leak over the bar, yet staff and guests together were cheerful and helpful, almost enjoying the sense of catastrophy. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay, good value and very convenient to Køge. Don't miss a side trip to the park at Vallø Castle, which is a short drive south from the hotel.

Wonderful, welcoming place! Very clean and pretty rooms, a delicious spread for breakfast featuring almost all local goods, and a spot for a freezing cold dip outside in the sea next to a sauna, should you dare. What could be better?!

Worst experience ever….arrived after long day of biking only to find our reservations could not be honored because the gave our rooms to a larger group. Never received a cancellation notice. We did find another hotel at same price that was much nicer.

Meget hyggeligt og charmerende hotel. Godt personale. Standard morgenmad fra 8-10 Ikke egnet for gangbesværede. Ingen elevator. Superior room hvor enenste faciliteter er eget toilet og bad. Ingen køleskab. Ingen kaffe/te elkedel. Ingen aircondition. Intet TV. WiFi havde svært ved at dække 2.sal. Åbningstider for bar/bistro og baghaven meget varierende. Generelt er der meget lidt i Sandvig som har åbent og slet ikke efter 21:00. 3 overnatninger Håndklæder man kan låne til stranden er virkelig fint. Kun rengøring af værelse hvis man selv beder om det.

Badeværelset var gammelt og helt smadret med store huller i fliserne og levede på ingen måde op til bare middelmådig standard. Værelset var ikke specielt rent og gardinet hang skævt og så ligeså faldefærdigt ud som bygningen udefra men udsigten, personalet (særligt ved morgenmaden) og de rene håndklæder og sengebetræk trak op.

Virkelig dejlig morgenmad, lokale råvarer, nybagte boller, søde og venlige personaler . vi havde værelse med balkon, dejlig balkon, dog et lille minus lidt for mange duelorte, hvilket nok var fordi, vi lå bagest op mod dejlige grønne træer. men det ville nok være en god ide, at få fjernet duelort en gang imellem. især på rækværket.
