Palazetto San Lio was perfectly located in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac, equidistant(~5mins walk either way) from Rialto and San Marco. We transferred from Marco Polo Airport via water taxi, which stops at Rialto and made it really easy to get to the apartment. The apartment was exactly the kind of rustic Venetian-style space that we had been looking for, and the aircon was SO welcome during another wave of European summer heat. We had a bit of trouble with accessing the building on Day 2 - old doors can be tricky - but the staff were so responsive to our messages and it worked out fine in the end (though DO make sure you note their numbers down before going out exploring!). The kitchenette had enough basic kit for our needs, and the beds are firm. Everything was very clean and we felt very welcome when we arrived. We also managed to leave our bags for a few hours of exploring on the last day, which was appreciated. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful week exploring Venice, and this apartment made it all very easy and relaxing.

Location is perfect for being close to San Marco, Rialto Bridge and amazing restaurants Not far from the Rialto stop with the water bus. Be aware that the apartment is located on the 3rd floor with the last set of stairs being steep and slightly slippery. Very secure apartment. Facilities were great and there is a wine cellar/rack where you can sample a bottle of vino from the owners very own vineyard. Just leave the payment on the table. Prices range from EURO 7 - 8 per bottle

Excellent location for exploring Venice. General area can be very busy with tourists but walk a few alleys over and there’s no one. It took a while to figure this out but once we did it was fabulous. The apartment is spacious, quiet and decorated in true Venitian style. We loved it!

We are happy to stay here for 3 nights. It's clean and convenient location. The master bedroom is very spacious and nice, the second bedroom though is very small only enough for a twin bed. Also the second bedroom can hardly get covered by wifi, which is a little inconvenient.

We stayed in Palazzetto San Lio for four nights. Its located well in the middle of tourist area. However, the place is grossly overpriced. The size of bedroom, kitchen, bathroom are really tiny, especially bathroom, where it’s hard to turn around. The bathroom could do with some updating, with cracks on tiles and such. The windows of the living room rattled when we walked around. Of minor irritance are the four sets of heavy doors one needs to lock and unlock to get to the apartment. Overall, it is too highly priced for what it offers. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Pros: Customer service is very responsive. Location is excellent. Decoration has a Venetian vibe. Cons: Beds and cushion quality is low. Pictures also gave us the impression it was a double bed, but instead it was a twin room (which is, however, written in the description), but the photo itself is unfaithful to the reality. Don't miss this point like we did.

This property is just a few minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge where the water bus stops, so it's a great base for seeing Venice. There are mini-supermarkets, grocery stores, bakers, cafes and restaurants all around the area, so staying here is made easy. The building and the apartment have the atmosphere of "Old Venice", but the apartment has lots of space and all the facilities we needed. The kitchen is fairly modern, though the bathroom could do with a refresh. Very welcoming and helpful property manager. There are stairs to go up and down, but you have your own view of a canal from your window.

The location is excellent - positioned midway between the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. Central but quiet, being on a side street on a tiny canal. Also convenient for water transport to and from the airport and train station. The front desk staff member was very helpful, although not available for periods of the day. The rooms had an old world charm and the scarcity of electrical sockets in our particular apartment was indicative of the buildings age, rather than the hotel’s willingness to provide for its guests needs. A really lovely touch was the gift of an excellent bottle of wine from the palazzetto owners own family vineyard. Would happily stay at San Lio again although would probably select one of the other larger apartments.

Great location! It has all the amenities however, the room smelled and they missed a cigarette on the floor. Bed and pillow was not comfortable for us. I did NOT like the communication. I couldn't send a pic of our passports via Expedia app so I asked for the email and the sent it dashed out (----@----.--)..I should not have to deal with that during my vacation. It would have been way easier 1 had to deal with this 2 days before my stay. It would have been so much easier and convenient 1 mo before our stay. We had to call the place on their doorstep trying to send the passport info. And on the phone not friendly at all.
