While we knew this was designed to be "glamping" and a different experience from a hotel room, the experience did not match the description of the property. It was described as a "luxury lodge" with an outdoor entertainment area, spa services on site, restaurant, gift shop, grocery store, etc. There are options for tents or cabins, so I booked the cabin for more comfortable accommodations. When we arrived we discovered that the cabin did not have a bathroom, and we would need to walk across the field to use a common bathroom/shower. We often need to use the restroom during the night so this was not a pleasant option for us. In addition, we were visiting from Texas and were not used to the colder temperatures, so a common shower area with no heat also did not sound appealing at all. This lack of basic amenities in a cabin was not expected given the description of the property, and in fact when we spoke with the owner, he said 6 of their cabins have attached bathroom facilities but 2 do not and somehow we were placed in one of those. He was unable to move us to a different cabin because they were full. We decided to move on to a more comfortable hotel room. We just want to share our experience so others can request proper facilities if that is of importance to them.
