Tranquility Point

The room was immaculate, and the views unparalleled. There are different locations to view the cliffs and the ocean, and you can hear the waves breaking throughout the day. It's tempting just to stay-put and absorb the quietude. There is no restaurant on the premises, so I brought my food and was provided a toaster and an ice chest. Lots of hiking locations nearby.

Beautiful landscape and very clean. The internet is very spotty and there are no tvs. Atleast not in our room. However, we were not there to be online. We truly enjoyed the amazing view and quaint atmosphere. We will definitely return.

Absolutely loved the property the view is incredible worth the drive . We will stay here again ! The owner literally called me and text me with different updates and information regarding the road closure on up from the lodge with that said if you are like us look into that we traveled here from sandiego area getting to the lodge was great leaving we had two options because we were continuing north up the coast sketchy but Gorgeous cut thru the mountain road that takes 2 1/2 hrs or go all the way back 3 1/2 hour loop around situation. It was our first time driving in the mountains it was an experience we will never forget! The views are unforgettable I can not put into words the beauty of this area . Be prepared for the road closure take the cut thru road you won’t regret this hotel .

Beautiful property and helpful staff. Such a wonderfully remote and quiet space to enjoy the heart of Big Sur in Lucia. If you are looking for quiet beauty to relax and reflect this is the place! Not far from other resorts and restaurants. Amazing location and view. Knowledgeable and extremely friendly staff.

This place is a gem!

This place is a gem. It’s located at the end of the road for now because Highway One is currently closed a few miles past Lucia. The result is a super quiet atmosphere with very little to no traffic on the highway. The property contacted me in several ways to inform me about this closure. The room was super clean, with linens and bedding quality/cleanliness on par with those of a Hilton. Super comfortable with everything one needs to spend the night. This property is run by a crew who really cares. The views from this location are absolutely breathtaking. There is a little trail behind the property that will lead you to a hilltop. The observation point over the coast from there is out of this world! I’ll definitely come back to make up for the fact that I had to leave super early to be on time for a meeting.

This was worth the drive. Amazing views and cute little cabins with contactless check in. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet. Be prepared to bring your own food, because the restaurant was lost to fire. The only drawbacks were that there were only two bath towels and the tiniest sliver of soap (with nowhere to put it in the shower). And the bed was only queen sized, for those of us who have gotten used to having more room. Overall, it was beautiful and peaceful. It felt like we were at the end of the Earth and it was awesome.

No TV is ok, but at least have a small refrigerator - it is especially necessary- especially given that the location is cut off from so many services by the landslide. The continental breakfast was a very frugal repast. Ocean view this time of year had to be imagined mostly due to the fog, but it is a lovely location. We are glad we took the trip, but were expecting 4 post beds and got a starter bed with no headboard. I would go back, but at 2/3 the price.

Spectacular view

The lodge itself was not what I expected. For what I paid I expected a larger room with more amenities although everything in the room was clean and nice. It was unusual to have the microwave and breakfast bar outside in a little shed. With that said, I would come again because the view was absolutely SPECTACULAR!!!!!! my wife and I spent several hours outside just enjoying the view.

Quaint Spot overlooking Bug Sur coastline

We went for an overnight stay, beautiful views the room was very nice. Entry from outside and view of the ocean. We left the windows open and could hear the surf all night. Lovely

There is no staff on the property. If you have an issue, like we did getting locked out of our room, there is no cell service for help. There is no tv. Breakfast is a joke, left in a cabinet outside.
