A lovely hotel in a quiet area but very close to the city centre. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was amazing and I would recommend the hotel for that alone.
The reason I've only given it 3 stars is that for the price we paid we were a little disappointed with our room. Firstly, the positives. The room was spacious with a king size bed and it had all the usual things you would expect such as tea/coffee making facilities, TV etc.
The downside was that it was meant to be a deluxe double and there was very little that was deluxe, other than the bed being bigger than in the standard double rooms. When we booked the picture showed a sofa, we didn't have one and the entire clothes storage option was a single open unit with a rail and a few shelves.
While disappointing, we could cope with that. The worst aspect was the ensuite. This was very small, no bath and it was a wet room! I realise these can be very useful for some people, especially those with mobility problems, but they are a terrible idea for a hotel. Once you've had a shower the ensuite is a no go zone for hours until the floor has dried. This was very disappointing and a major inconvenience.
In summary, nice hotel & staff, great breakfast but very disappointing room.
