The location is very convenient, the nightly ramen/ice cream treats were fun, and the breakfast was more than ample each day! We stayed here with my parents in two rooms for three nights. When our AC malfunctioned on our first night, the staff was very helpful in relocating us. We have visited Japan over 20 times, and found this hotel to be very unique with a lively/fun vibe. If you are used to Western hotel rooms, you will find these very small, with correlating bathrooms...but when in Rome...or in this case, Osaka...you just get used to it and it's not a big deal! I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this hotel, I appreciated being near two restaurants that catered to my mom's celiac disease (okonomiyaki made with rice flour), and near so many massage places (where I enjoyed affordable leg massages). Highly recommend!

Situated in the heart of Dotonbori, this hotel was great for my trip with my son. It felt a little less nice from a decor standpoint but the free drinks and snacks (including beer and ice cream) in the lobby were a nice touch (and the only hotel in Japan that offered this to us during our six night stay.). Staff was very friendly. Location was great for walking around, shopping and restaurants.

I loved the Dotonbori Hotel--the hospitality, the daily cultural activities (like kimono dressing), and incredible complimentary offerings like beer, ice cream, and noodles. The staff members are very nice, friendly, versatile, and have great customer service skills. I felt very welcomed into the hotel. During the Kimono Experience event, the staff members helped dress everyone up, complete with sandals and hairdo. I will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to friends and family!

This was one of our favorite stays in Japan. The hotel and room are a little aged overall, but there is an undeniable charm with it. The staff are super friendly, they have activities for kids (or like me, your wife) around crafts are traditional Japanese games. There’s free drinks and food in the lobby. You absolutely can’t beat the location either. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and hope to be back soon!

Location is great and front of hotel is uniquely identifiable due to its quirky statues. On Dontonbori street and is surrounded by great shopping and dining options. Easy check in process with early check in available for us. Room had a musty smell we couldn’t get rid of. There was also a huge pillar in the center of our room (basic room) which took up so much usable space. Free drinks/alcohol and snacks available during set times. Also, cultural events daily.
