Overnight stay for golf trip

Travelled up for golf trip - room was very clean and recently refurbished bathroom was excellent, local pub for evening meal so very happy. Breakfast was OK, bacon and sausages a bit well done and had been kept warm so not at best but overall nothing raise complaints about

Awful hotel

Staff were rude & unhelpful. Breakfast was awful, cold & overcooked hot choices, and limited cold options. Parking charges onsite even though there is plenty of free parking on the street outside. One of the worst Holiday Inn hotels we’ve ever stayed in.

A stay by a Lighthouse.

Room OK but all the TVs were not working on the first night of my stay. Good shower but the Shower gel had all run out in the fixed container in both the shower and over wash basin. Had to use a loose one in the Shower. My door key had to be reset every day!!
Keith, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

Room not ready after Check in time quoted, requested Double Bed and had 2 singles. No Cups in room for a cup of tea just a Kettle and sachets of tea and coffee, very unhappy customer as booked for a Family wedding, very inconvenient Stay.

This hotel is in an ideal position, not far from the beach, village and a nice walk to West Kirby along the beach.

Pas terrible

Accueil décevant, parking payant, petit déjeuner pas top, literie très mauvaise avec un mal de dos après 1 nuit, propreté très mauvaise dans l’une des 2 chambres (des poiles qui traînent, des draps sales)
Marina, 1-night trip

Comfort should not be compromised

We have booked family rooms for 11 people. The double bed mattress was quite hard and wasn't very comfortable. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable for the kids. I would strongly advise you to do some decent investments in your mattresses and beds. Premier Inn beds are very comfortable and I was expecting same comfort.

Great experience

Nice clean quiet comfortable hotel. Very good self service breakfast. Close to town centre and felt very safe when out walking.

Let down by breakfast

The reception staff are the friendliest we have encountered. Room was clean and comfortable. Stay was let down by the breakfast. Items were always missing and not replenished for ages. Slowest service I have ever come across. We went late one morning and early the other, same problem both days. Everything done as cheaply as possible and it showed. Disappointing and would deter us from staying again.
Karen, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The hotel was clean, comfortable & breakfast was lovely. Very reasonably priced & a 10 minute walk from the train station. Would definitely come back.
Joanne, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Dirty, Dirty, DIRTY!

We were given one room that had dog hairs on the floor and bits and pieces of stuff on the floor and sofa so I went to reception. At reception the response was, “Well we’re a dog friendly hotel”. I don’t see why that means it is acceptable to have dog hair all over the floor, it should have been hoovered up and the room cleaned properly. I then explained that I have an allergy to dogs and was informed that the dog free rooms were only on the second floor. It turns out that the only room they could give me was on the first floor, so not much help there. We had no choice but to stay and the second room was filthy. There were stains all over the carpet. Even the designed carpet couldn’t cover them up. Not sure if the stains were wee or poo. On the balcony there was either left over yoghurt or poo. In the bathroom the sink had hairs in it from the previous person and something else. Curtains were ripped so didn’t close woke up with the sun hours earlier than we would have wanted. I have stayed in loads of rooms and this has been the worst for the last ten years, easily. If it wasn’t for my friend’s party instead of her wake due to lock down and we weren’t driving the family we would have left. I did ask for a quiet room but neither of the rooms were in quiet locations. Ps. Also look out for them trying to charge you for parking

The check-in was painful. They could not find our reservation although I had booked online the week before. We were travelling with a 3-month old baby and a 5-year old, so it was challenging to keep them from becoming restless. There was no room made up for us even though we checked in well after the time advised. The room was freezing cold. The lady who checked us in was busy doing other things but was rather nice and polite. She said it was only her 2nd day on the job. I was shocked to have to pay for parking- when did this become a thing?? The room did as it said on the box and we all slept well. The breakfast was warm and I dont think the eggs had ever seen a chicken! We went down for Breakfast at 9 o'clock and there were no pastries and minimal bread. Althought the bread and bacon was replenished as we finished eating. The room did the job though and the stay was comfortable.
