We booked The Stag as a last minute stop on our way back from Cornwall to Hull and honestly we couldn’t have chose a better stop off point! The staff were lovely and helpful, able to answer our questions and the food was divine. A little bit on the pricier side but was absolutely worth every penny. The kids loved the outdoor area, so much though it was a struggle to get them to come back in! The continental breakfast included was also very enjoyable and set us up for the long day ahead. The room was clean, well thought out and the complimentary items were appreciated. Thank you again for making our stay enjoyable!

Great check in - we had asked two days before if we could collect the keys earlier but warned the room might not be ready -but it was! Fabulous room, amazing bathroom - shame no time to try the bath! Great choices for breakfast BUT very squashed service area - really would benefit enormously from a bigger better layout to prevent queuing and being able to reach all the areas. The cereal was too high yus to reach!!

Breakfast is included for all the hotel guests which was really nice. yoghurt, fruit, pastries, coffee, tea, juice, oat and etc hot meals available to order for additional fee. Hotel is 9 minutes drive to town center. Rooms are so very lovely, we stayed in two rooms and they were both great, spacious, fully equiped. large outdoor and i door space for drinks and foods. also, this is a perfect stay for family with pets. staffs are professional, friendly and helpful.

This is a very nice place. Very pleased to have stayed here. The pub was super. It has a motor sports theme, right up our alley. Good clean rooms, good hot water, clean bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed overnight en-route to visit family, and it was so good I stayed on the way back too! Friendly, welcoming and very helpful team. Pub great - a true car and bike themed venue with plenty of interesting memorabilia on display, magazines/books to read, games to play if you wish. Plenty of parking. Sunrise views. Outdoor areas well kept and I bet they’re stunning in the summer. Outdoor kids play area. Christmas decorations very good. Good location - less than 10 minutes drive to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Cosy, warm, spacious courtyard room. Couple of small maintenance issues that I informed the team about which I’m sure will be looked into. Was really good to have a bath and separate shower. Storage space, hairdryer and well stocked tea tray. The best bit - it’s Dog friendly! Treats available at the bar. Dog friendly rooms available and most of the pub, other than the actual breakfast bar area which is fair enough, is dog friendly. One morning I popped my dog in my car while I ate, and another morning a kind member of the team went to the breakfast bar and brought my food to my table - how lovely was that, as travelling solo with a Velcro-dog is not easy! Good selection at breakfast - filter coffee, selection of teabags, juice, yoghurts, porridge pots, fresh fruit (pineapple, melon, oranges, apples etc), toast, muffins etc. i enjoyed it. I ate in the pub one evening - only had a sandwich and fries but that was good too. Would I revisit? ABSOLUTELY. We loved our stays.

The property was really well located, checkin quite early, with no problem from there side. The room was really clean, bed was good, bathroom had everything and loved the shower. Tom was really helpful, informative, gave us a bit of history of the building, which was fascinating. Included Breakfast was simple, but very good, and you could have ordered from the kitchen at an extra cost. Will definitely recommend.

Like the location, easy to get around the costwolds. The staff were nice and polite. Didn’t like the bed at all! 2 nights of bad sleep. The mattress was very uncomfortable.
