This is a great, inexpensive option for a quick solo trip to Boston. The shared room, with 12+ pods in each, was remarkably quiet all night. My pod was a bit too warm, and the soap/ shampoo in the shower was pretty terrible. BUT, the location was excellent and near good restaurants and so close to North Station. I will certainly stay here again.

I recently stayed at Meca Hostel and had a mostly positive experience. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, making my stay comfortable and welcoming. I felt safe throughout my time there, which is always a priority for me. The bathroom could use a bit more attention, particularly with restocking toilet paper. It was a bit chilly, but they do provide extra blankets upon request, which was appreciated. Overall, it's a good place to stay with friendly service.

I’ve stayed in various types of capsule and cabin type hotels in Japan, so I’m always curious when something similar is offered in the US. There were a few quirks but overall I had no problems/issues during my stay (fortunately there was nobody else in my shared room so it felt like a private room). Location was also ideal and I felt it was good value compared to a hotel if you’re travelling solo and want to stay in downtown Boston.

Very happy with my stay. I had to extend my trip by a night and by the time it came to extend, this was one of the only affordable options nearby so I booked it. In the future this will be where I look first in the area because the price was right, I felt safe the entirety of my stay and my belongings were secure (which were my concerns staying at a hostel). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and everything was clean and very comfortable! Thank you for my stay at your location!

When I arrived there was no one at reception to let me in as they were busy elsewhere (not their fault) so had to wait at the door for nearly 5mins. Then I wasn’t told anything about the hostel just told I had to pay $150 deposit WHICH IS NOT ANYWHERE IN THE LISTING OR IN ANT EMAILS FROM HOTEL.COM which was annoying. I then went to my room (women only 17 beds) dropped my things and went a walk to target & 7/11 to get snacks. When I got back to the hostel I asked if there was anywhere to fill my water bottle it was only then I was told about the kitchen/lounge on the top floor. Which had good amenities but felt a bit cold and sterile. The bathrooms on the third floor were pretty clean except the floors which were always dirty. There are plenty of clean towels available and the person on reception although clearly busy was so lovely and took time to chat to guests. I got my deposit back less than an hour after checking out and slept well. It was also substantially cheaper than a hotel in the same area. I probably wouldn’t return but overall it was fine.
