The Grape Escape is a beautiful Inn , grounds, house, and area. The Inn was immaculately maintained and the common areas are well stocked. There is a great kitchen that can be used as well as a beautiful backyard that can be enjoyed with food, drinks, and your travel companions. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. The Inn is in a nice location for a super easy walk to downtown Lodi or simply a nice walk through the streets of Lodi surrounding the Grape Escape. Street parking was plentiful and easy right outside the property. Definitely a great place to base for winery visits when in Lodi, attending the various festivals, or simply a relaxing get away.

This would be a wonderful choice for a large gathering for an event. The kitchen dining area with a table that seats at least 10, is amazing with another wonderful outdoor kitchen all shady. The location is perfect. Close to everything and walking distance to downtown restaurants and wine and beer spots. Rooms are small but comfortable. I’ve stayed in Merlo and Zinfandel rooms. I think a total of 5 rooms with private baths.

This was an amazing stay. It started out as one night, and turned into three. The house and property are absolutely beautiful. Everything you need is available. I thought it might be weird sharing the common areas, but we barely saw the other guests. The front porch with the rocking chairs may have been my favorite, to sit, relax and look over the beautiful neighborhood. It’s street parking, but we never had a problem finding a spot, and most of this time we were able to park right out front. The whole place is clean and comfortable. Very well maintained and no strong air fresheners, which is always nice.

This is a lovely old house with personality. It was easy walking distance to the great shops and restaurants in downtown Lodi. The room was charming, clean, and cozy. It is self check-in -- they send you door codes for the inn and for your room. The staff were very communicative and everything was easy. I would have liked to spend more time there and will definitely be back!

We were looking for a room for one night and found this listing as we were driving south through CA. It sounded interesting so we decided to give it a shot, and we were so glad we did. The staff sent us a door code for both the front door and the room. There is no staff on site, but they are super responsive and helpful if you have questions. The house is absolutely incredible - magazine-style incredible. It is located in a wonderful neighborhood and is beautifully maintained, inside and out. We heard one or two other guests arrive after we had settled in for the night, but didn’t hear anything after they had settled in their own rooms. We never saw anyone else on the property the entire time we were there. I did a video tour of the main floor, but it won’t upload here. Believe me - it is wonderful. Oh, and they have a redwood in their yard. Being from the East Coast, I find that to be pretty awesome!

Beautiful home with wonderful amenities. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms very well appointed. Excellent value for money - we stayed in the Merlot suit which has two separate king beds with a shared bathroom- perfect for a girls trip. Plenty of street parking and easy 5 minute walk to downtown where there are some good choices to eat. This place is an excellent choice over a hotel,
