I had one night in a cabin with my daughter, it was beautiful and peaceful. The bed was comfy and we had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was really lovely too. Raphaela was positive and attentive, and made our stay all the better. Thank you for cherishing and affirming my daughter. Highly recommend

Stunning, but left feeling very disappointed. We paid €346 for one night (two adults, one teenager and two dogs to stay in the Junior suite, room 309 in the clock tower) Without question, the property is absolutely stunning and in a very peaceful location/landscape. We had driven from Manchester, England at 6 am and after a two hour delay on the Eurotunnel, we finally reached the Château at 1930hrs. On arrival, we will show to our room and tell that there were no bar or food facilities, and the nearest takeaway was just a 10 minute drive away. Incredibly frustrating. When we returned to our room, we washed the day away and only to discover the shower was cold. Thinking that it was an old property, we went to bed and had a shower in the morning and again, cold water! I am writing this from another Château in Vienne, near Poitiers. We have paid €219 for one night, for the same service and are already receiving more. We have a lively bar, food inside or outside, a busy reception area and a very lively swimming pool. It’s stunning. I feel relaxed within 10 minutes of arrival. As an owner of a small business, I appreciate all businesses go through a difficult patch, and to run a Château for profit must be incredibly challenging. It feels confusing to pay such a huge price to not to have some basics available, food and hot water. Please lock the room down until the water is fixed. Perhaps offer guests cold sandwiches by order, on arrival. So easy to do.

AUTHENTIQUE ET CALME

Très bel endroit à quelques minutes de Rouen. Dépaysement total et calme de la campagne normande. Château dans un domaine verdoyant avec restauration impeccable. Belle chambre ( Luxe ). Accueil super avec visite et explication. Petit - Déjeuner continental correct. Je donnerais volontiers cette adresse. Merci à la gentillesse du personnel du Château aux petits soin pour les clients

An experience to remember!

It was an adventure finding Belmesnil at night without GPS signal. We checked in late after resolving a minor confusion with our reservation. Found out that we had the entire chateau to ourselves for the night. My wife was afraid of ghosts but if there were any at Belmesnil, they were of the most welcoming and considerate kind. We slept like babies and woke up to the smell of breakfast. The dining room was prepared as if the chateau were full. We enjoyed our a sumptuous “petit dejeuner” at a beautiful table with the morning light flooding in. To work off the hearty breakfast, my wife and I explored the meticulously kept garden and grounds. It was here that we experienced the most personalized and courteous service during our 2-week stay in France. It was so good for the soul, we will definitely be back.

Beautiful property and a wonderful host

The Chateau is a beautiful property in lovely grounds, and we had a wonderful stay at the hotel with our pet dog. Our host for the stay was incredibly attentive and quickly resolved our small problem with lack of hot water when we arrived. She also gave us a quick tour of the property before we left and it is certainly worth taking a look around. The restaurant recommendation (Auberge Saint Jacques) was also perfect, and we had a lovely meal. A wonderful short stay.

En opplevelse!

Hotellet, et slott fra 1800-tallet ligger ca 20 min kjøretur fra Rouen, så en bør disponere bil. Stedet er flott pusset opp og rommene er meget bra, med en særegen stil. Servicen er upåklagelig. Vi ble tatt i mot av en meget hyggelig dame som virkelig var "vertskap"! Stedet ligger i et jordbruksområde med en flott park rundt slottet. Vi kom en juli ettermiddag i strålende sol og varme. Vi avlyste kveldens planlagte middag i Rouen, og tok piknik i parken i stedet! God frokost, ikke overdådig, men med et helt OK utvalg. Og igjen; strålende service i forbindelse med frokosten! Vi hadde et trippelrom, men tredjemann bør ikke være over 1,78 .... Ellers meget gode senger. Rommet var rent og innbydende på alle måter. Dette steder anbefaler vi gjerne!! Men sjekk godt opp hvor det ligger. Bruk gjerne koordinatene som ligger på stedets hjemmeside. Ellers kan det bli litt ekstra kjøring for å finne fram!

Elegance and seclusion

Lovely two day stay out of season. Great staff and we were given a luxury suite for the same price as the club room we had reserved. Very quiet location and beautiful grounds. Hotel does lovely continental style breakfast. Doesn't do dinner but nice places to eat at a short driving distance and Rouen is only 20mins in the car.
