Location was perfect. Right in between Plaza Mayor and Puerta Del Sol. But also not so close that it was loud if anything was going on at Sol (was there recently during pride). Very walkable to major tourist attractions. Rooms were nice. Bed was comfy. Appreciated the breakfast in the morning which had quite a bit of variety. Would absolutely stay here again.

This was our second time staying at the beautiful Hotel Francisco I. The hotel is located very close to Puerta Del Sol, in the middle of Madrid; so easy to get to the main attraction, like the Placa Mayor. the Palace, the Museo de Prado, etc. All the staff at the hotel - by name we know Emilio and Augusto, from the Front Desk, - are very friendly, helpful and efficient. We will definitely stay at this lovely hotel when we return to Madrid, the capital and exact center of Spain 🇪🇸. Thank you, Dr Franz G J Schmitt
