The hotel is old and run down, but it's right next to the train station. The staff are super friendly. The street outside the hotel is full of broken bottles and crazy people shouting until after midnight.

Negative: bad neighborhood, no warm water, room had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, no closed off storage closet or similar for luggage - it was just openly placed in the breakfast area (better to pay to leave your luggage with DB's luggage service at central station). The most concerning thing was the feel of the neighborhood. I knew that it would be shady when booking near the HBh, but it and it was pretty sketching coming home at night. Lots of men lingering on the streets gawking at me and my teenage daughters.

The street where the hotel was was slum. It was filled with homeless people and junkies. Pictures of the hotel is lying. There was no safe parking of the car. Maybe the worst street in Hamburg. The hotel should not be on hotels.com.

My cheese and egg sandwich was bitten with big holes by some unknown “animal” during the night, it was just scary and I tried not to leave my bed in the dark. Very uncomfortable and scary!

Good price and friendly service that seem ti wirk 24/7. However hotel obviously requires certain upgrades at least such as glasses into a room and normal door lock. Unfortunately, it also was unlucky to be on the dangerous street with really aggressive people so it gives a strong feeling of not being safe. Every night I moved furniture to the narrow place by the entrance and set it by the door to make it mechanically unable to open from outside just to feel kind of safe.

Wir haben zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel in Hamburg verbracht, das bei der Buchung als familienfreundlich und kinderfreundlich beschrieben wurde. Leider entsprach das Umfeld dieser Beschreibung überhaupt nicht. Die Umgebung war sowohl tagsüber als auch nachts sehr unangenehm – besonders am Abend. Viele drogenabhängige Personen hielten sich in der Nähe auf, was ein unsicheres Gefühl vermittelte, vor allem mit Kindern. Das Zimmer war sehr einfach und bot nur das absolute Minimum. Selbst für den Safe musste man zusätzlich bezahlen und ihn separat freischalten lassen – in einem Hotel, das als familienfreundlich beworben wird, ist das enttäuschend. Positiv zu erwähnen ist der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption: Er war freundlich, hilfsbereit und hat sich wirklich Mühe gegeben, was den Gesamteindruck etwas verbessert hat. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Hotel für Familien mit Kindern leider nicht empfehlen. Die Beschreibung auf der Buchungsplattform ist irreführend und sollte dringend angepasst werden.

Selve værelset var udemærket. Der var plads til os alle og rent og nydeligt. Elevatoren går fra førstesalen og er meget lille. Morgenmaden er på ingen måde pengene værd, køb hellere ved bageren overfor. Vi havde læst at hotellet nå på en gade med mange misbrugere og hjemløse, men vi var ikke forberedt på hvor meget råben, udrykning og slåskampe der ville være. Det ved utrygt at gå i gaden og vi gik den anden vej rundt for at komme til stationen. Parkeringen ligger 3 min på gå ben fra hotellet men fungere fint. Den er svær at finde første gang.

Ikke børnevenligt

Okay hvis det er kun til overnatning men ikke mere end det. Fjernsynest virkede ikke da Stikkontakten hang ud af væggen som var den blevet rykket ud, da vi gjorde opmærksomme på det blev vi fortalt at det ville blive ordnet men det skete ikke. Kvarteret er ikke særligt børnevenligt da der er mange misbrugere og tiggere på gaden på alle tider af døgnet. Personalet på hotellet var meget venlige og flinke.
