Location of this hotel is great, only one block off the main plaza. The included breakfast was very good. The rooftop bar had a great view of the sunset and a lively atmosphere. Spacious room, with nice balcony looking out towards main plaza and basilica. Lots of great restaurants and bars nearby, as well as a very good, inexpensive laundry just a couple of blocks away.

Great location, very good breakfast and the rooftop bar is perfect ! Rooms are great too, comfortable bed and the staff was so sweet packing us a lunch and arranging airport transportation at 5 am. One thing to note is there is no AC- depending on time of year may not be an issue. I assume some rooms have windows so that would have been helpful. You can leave the top of your door open but then the noise is a bit much if you are trying to sleep early. Still a great spot I’d recommend !

We had a very enjoyable couple of nights at the Ariquepay Hotel. Great location a couple of minutes' walk from the Plaza de Armas. Check-in was quick and efficient and the room was comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The sink is outside the bathroom by the wardrobe which was unusual but not an issue for a couple of nights. Breakfast was relatively simple compared to some other hotels we've stayed at, but it was nice to be able to eat outside on the roof terrace to enjoy the morning sunshine. The same location is the bar in the evening, and is a good place to watch the sun set. Unfortunately there is a public car park behind the hotel and we were disturbed by car alarms going off - this did carry on into the evening but fortunately stopped eventually. Admittedly we didn't call down to reception to mention it (not sure what they would have been able to do about it) but it's worth bearing this in mind... cities in Peru are not quiet places, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
