Upon our arrival, the receptionist barely looked over the counter. Didn't greet me, finally acknwledged I was there to check-in. Wasn't the friendliest at all. When I asked if they had any bottled water she directed me to the vending machine and said it may be empty but you can't tell until you've deposited your $$. I put my money in and nothing came out. Went back to the desk and requested my $2.00 refund. The whole hotel seemed dark and dreary. It needs to be updated, especially the rooms. And the room has no suit case stand - very disappointed. AND lastly, on day 2 the room had a cockroach run across the desk. That was it for us...we checked out and went to the Hampton Inn. Paid a little more but everything about the Hampton Inn was better than the LaQuinta. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the LaQuinta and pay a little more at the Hampton Inn which has a better atmosphere, better food, and not cockroaches detected! AND, they have free bottled water for each guest, each day!
