Nice pool (but cold) and unique room decor. Friendly staff. On the downside: strong sewer smell in the bathroom, bar and restaurant were closed. No housekeeping if you're in the room during their rounds. The sofa bed for the 4th person was uncomfortable. Overpriced compared to other hotels with better standards.

Very close to songjeong beach on a cherry blossom lined street, The Coolest Hotel is nicely located. The hotel itself is very basic. Very limited amenities. We were given half a toilet paper roll, 2 towels for 4 people, no hand soap at the sink, and all the food areas were closed. Staff was friendly but sometimes hard to find. Pool was nice but no towels provided. Overall it was an okay experience for the price.

Upon arrival to the hotel we were met with a nice gentleman at reception. He seemed to be the only staff in the whole hotel. We were early for check in therefore asked if we were able to have early check in and potentially use the pool while we wait for our room to become available. He advised that this was possible and he was giving this to us for free. We did however had to wait for 1 hour and come back to reception for the room key. In the meantime we were able to use the rooftop pool. When we returned to reception as advised, the man previously there had left and a new reception person was there. This person stated that our room would not be ready and therefore had to just wait until usual check in time. Once we were finally arrived into our room. The room initially appears tidy. However floor was still wet, sticky, sandy and smelt of damp. Bathroom was not cleaned, just tidied with used shampoo and soap packets left. There were no bathroom supplies such as shampoo/conditioner. We had to head to the nearest 7/11. We were left disappointed with the room and overall hotel experience. The room was not well maintained with hooks not properly fixed to the wall. Bathroom water flooding into the room, and no towel hooks inside the bathroom. There were also no other services as advertised. No hotel bar, No restaurant, No hot breakfast, No room service, No reception staff out of hours. The rooftop pool feels neglected with lack of maintenance. No food or drink allowed

Great location and friendly staff

The location of the hotel is great - next door to a fabulous cocktail bar - possibly the best I’ve been to called Railside bar and also next to the beach train station. There is a great boardwalk that runs the length of the beach train taking you to the livelier side of town. We found the staff very helpful unfortunately the way the lift works you tend to bypass the lobby area as you come and go, which is a shame as it’s a nice way to interact and appreciate the service of the staff.

The property was great for the train/sky capsule line, and were at a couple of great restaurants nearby. However, the reception was not always manned, we were asked to schedule our room service, and the breakfast was poor - a croissant with ham and cheese (no vegetarian option) and three tiny pieces of cut fruit.

We enjoyed our stay at The Coolest Hotel. The front desk staff (Rayoon) was so helpful and kind. The breakfast was also convenient! We enjoyed the view from our balcony as well as the pool. The room we booked was the smallest room type. Perhaps next time I would book a slightly bigger one.

I made some mistakes during check-out, but the manager helped me a lot in fixing the problems for me. Appreciate it! Hotel is next to the famous Busan travel train. Great hotel on the beach

We loved The Coolest Hotel. The staff was wonderful. They helped us with transportation and ideas of where to go. Our last day we had to leave early before our paid breakfast time and they prepared a to-go breakfast for us. The beach the hotel overlooks is Songjeong Beach and it has a relaxed mellow surfer vibe that is very different from the busier beaches of the city. You can stroll along the water’s edge in the morning.

A super cool hotel

Hey I’m PY from Taiwan. I was here with my family. We all love this hotel, very good location if you have plan to visit east Busan and super friendly service. The girl and guy were super nice to us which made us feel like stay at our home. Also, the blue line park station is very near hotel, the rooftop swimming pool is awesome as well, great view and atmosphere. We have already plan our next busan trip and stay here again in Summer

The hotel is pretty new, less than a year old, so the rooms are spacious, everything worked perfectly and the hotel has some charm with the pool at the rooftop and the great views of the beach from the room. Staff was great, very nice , polite and helpful. Finally location wise, is next to the beach, one of the tourist attractions to Busan but a bit far from anything else. Still there are ways around like subway or the costal touristic trains that takes you closer Busan center. Will recomend it!

Trying to be Cool but not nailing it

Our room had a bath with a fab view of the beach but the whole set up was weird. There was no restaurant so you had to collect your breakfast from reception. The rooftop pool was the best part of the hotel. Transport was not especially easy unless you caught the slow moving tourist tram (it was quite a hike to either the subway or a bus stop). Would recommend staying in Haendae unless the point of your trip was to get to the beach.
