First time in a hostel and it was better than expected; simple furnishings and small room, with shared (gender specific) bathroom. Steep flight of stairs to enter off street. Owner gave great video intro before arriving, to know how to access hostel.
The main difficulty was street activity, since it is on a busy street, but it was fine the second night. There was no air conditioning, but a fan was provided, which helped since I wanted to close the window because of noise. Some rooms didn’t have windows, which is against fire code in my area, so ask for a room with a window if you want one. The kitchen is spacious and you can have use of the refrigerator and mark your food, which was very helpful.
Overall a good place and easily accessible to Culver City Bus which is our go to when in the area, and now that the LAX Metro Connector is open, super easy to get around and navigate LA without a car.
