Villa Truia was an intimate and welcoming respite for my three nights in Lucca. While I thought it would be better to stay within the walled city, Villa Tria is just outside and an lovely walk to the city centre. The room is ample by European standards. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom had all the amenities. Monica and Manuela were so gracious and the breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. They were so accommodating and it was a superb experience.

Right across the street from the historic wall and access to the historic city center is very close. If I come back to Lucca I would stay here again, I was very happy with the room, the staff, and the lovely breakfasts (especially the cappuccinos!) The train station is close enough to walk but I would reccomend a cab if you have more than one small carry on you can carry on your shoulder. Don't miss going to the historic city center after dark.

Every aspect of this B&B was perfect: the welcoming and helpful staff, the cleanliness of the premises, the delicious breakfast offerings, its convenient location with respect to the historic town, and the surrounding neighborhood.

We had a comfortable, quiet room away from the traffic, yet the location is convenient for people who wish to explore Lucca inside the wall by foot. Breakfast was very good, too. And free protected parking at the back of the property makes this an especially attractive place for those who have cars.

Extraordinary B&B!

Our stay at Villa La Tuia was absolutely fabulous. Monica and the entire team went above and beyond to provide a welcome and relaxing visit to Lucca. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The made to order breakfasts were extraordinary! Will recommend to friends and family.

Restful, yet just 1 minute from the city wall.

A nice villa with garden and parking place. The hosts were really friendly and spoke good English. The room was cleaned every day and new towels were provided. Breakfast was good but you had to book a time slot for when to eat. It’s a 10 minute walk to the city center. On the way there we found bars and restaurants less frequented by other tourists. Great atmosphere, mush more relaxed. A perfect place for us!

We have been to Lucca many times and have now found a new home at Villa La Tuia. It was a wonderful stay. Our time in Lucca kept getting extended and we were thrilled that we could stay longer with Monica our wonderful hostess.

Ontbijt is heerlijk. Locatie is perfect, op loopstand van het centrum van Lucca. Inchecken gaat soepel! Topplek!
