Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is clean, but needs serious updating. Bar is open till 4am. Way too noisey.

My family and I in town for a football game. Despite the renovations in progress we were very pleased with properties cleanliness, spacious rooms, excellent staff(kudos to the owner that made us feel at home) and very good food. Will most definitely be going back next time we’re in town.

8/10 Very good

The location is great, there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and there’s a nice trail along the river nearby. They seem to have a lot of events, so when the check-in clerk saw how tired I was after a day of driving, they very thoughtfully changed me to a room further away from the noise. However, when I woke up early and went down, there was no one at the desk or answering the phone and the front door was locked and seemingly couldn’t be opened from the inside. I had to find a side door in the bar to get out, and when I came back an hour later it was all still locked and empty, so I just left my key at the desk.

This property is very rustic, a lot of very old features. However, bed and mattress were very comfortable.

Two Nights at the Fallon

The owners of the Fallon Hotel are delightful. The historical building is very interesting. It would have been nice to have cups to go with the coffee machine, and easier parking. My bed was very comfortable, but I couldn't get the TV to work. Overall, I was pleased with my stay and would go back again.

I realize that the owners are trying very hard to revitalize the property and they are very nice. I just think that a little more effort needs to be put into cleaning the rooms.

Was pretty let down staying here….the room was dirty and the shower/bathroom was disgusting and poorly maintained (the shower is a garden hose and dirty with paint everywhere…the sink dripped loud all night) the curtains need to be darker to block the light from the giant lights outside…they let way too much light inside. Then the adjacent bar/club with the DJ brought music blasting way late into the night followed by the interesting crowd staying out in the front stoop from 2am-4am screaming at each other making my night of sleep horrible…I debated leaving but it was too late….i would never recommend anyone to stay here.

Could not connect internet. Tv didn't work. Drunk karaoke singers audible much of the night. Hot water...eventually. Bare bulb fixture. Room barely bigger than bed. Rain noise on window a/c unit very loud. Bed was comfortable.

Historic hotel but needing much work.

This is a historic hotel being revamped, however they have a lot of work to do. I had to get an extension cord to charge my phone since there was one plug in the room and that was used for the tv. The bathroom looked like a prison cell with ancient bare-bones fixtures where handles did not match or were falling off.

My room the bathroom door can not be close, Too noisy from there bar, rooms appearance was really old and and not comfy plus the amenities deposit was more than the price of the room charge I deserve a discount or something we stay in the hotel cause was already paid and had no more option but will never recommend for any to stay How can I stay in a room were bathroom door can not be close so no privacy for it

Upon arrival I was taken to the room O had rented and when the employee opened the door there was a couple having sex on the bed. I was left standing in the hallway for ten minutes and then the employee came back and took.me to a different room. The property is currently under construction and there is plywood covering the windows and walls everywhere and it was just a complete mess. It smelled insidethelobby, the hallwaysandin our room. Very unsatisfied. It has been fivedays since iur stay and i still haven'trecieved my $200 deposit back and i didnt even use the bathroom in this horrible establishment. It smelled in our room, in the hallwayn the lobby as well

Room for Improvement

When we arrived, we were surprised that there was no sign on the building saying Fallon Hotel. No one was at the desk and no one answered the phone number provided. I went into the bar, asking for assistance. 3 young women came out to assure us we would get the keys soon. Finally a young man came out and actually helped us take baggage upstairs. He brought in a box fan to supplement the ceiling fan. Issues - there was only 1 available outlet and it was near the floor, no outlet in the bathroom or hooks to hang towels, t he shower head was stationary and awkward, there were no cups to go with the ice bucket provided, no coffee maker, no clock and we couldn't turn off the overhead light without turning off the fan, so we slept with the bright light on. The good aspects - the bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean and soft.

Please read all the reviews!!!!!!

I wish I had read the other reviews. The hotel does not match the photos nor the description. There is no restaurant and one big loud bar. They blared the music till 2am, you won't sleep. There was never anyone at the front desk, not for check in or out or to ask any questions. And half the place looks like it's been under construction for the last year. The only positives were the big comfy bed, historic charm and lovely bar tenders.

Decent older hotel going through a renovation. There is nightlife on the ground floor so perhaps not the best for light sleepers, I had no issue.
Lydia, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Historic and quaint, but comfortable and cozy.

Im a sucker for historic buildings and the Fallon is just that. Its not for everyone. The building is under renovation and i hope to see more good things from the owners. Its a 1850 build and a historic marker, which means i expected rugged walls and old wood floors. My bedding was clean and probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds Ive ever slept on. The room was basic, bed, chair and foot stool, dresser, and tv. Bathroom has the old victorian vibe, however may be challenging for elderly to get into the shower as it was a knee high metal tub with a suspended shower curtain and no hand rails. The front desk crew, who I assumed were the owners, were extremely friendly, welcoming, and respected privacy. The building is in a great location, a few blocks away from many local taverns and eateries. The Fallon itself has attached night life which may make your stay alittle louder if they have entertainment. But I enjoyed the added fun. Overall a great historical find in Lock Haven. I wish best of luck to the owners in their renovation endeavors.

When we showed up to the property, the windows were boarded up and the place looked abandoned. We got to Lock Haven a bit early to look at the river by the hotel, around 3:00. They mentioned check in time was 4/4:30; however, when we tried the doors initially around 3:00 (to check out the lobby and see if maybe we could get in earlier) the doors were locked. We thought this was strange because it’s a hotel, what if we wanted to leave and explore the town, but when we go back to our rooms we couldn’t go into the hotel. We tried again at 4 and again at 4:30. No luck, the doors were locked and no lights were on. We assumed the place may have shut down, so we asked around. The main response was that no one knew it was even a hotel and that it was just a bar for college students.
