We stayed at Kairos Tropea for 3 nights and had a great stay! We walk everywhere, so we found that the location (while not right in town) was fairly easy to walk into town or to the beach, and it was quiet at night. For meals, there were a lot of markets and restaurants nearby and the hotel had an excellent breakfast. The staff were great: Paulo was very responsive and coordinated a spot on a group boat trip, Rosella at the front desk was very helpful, and Kira made amazing cappuccinos at breakfast. The hotel was spotless, the mattress was comfortable and the swimming pool was lovely. The only (minor) things that we didn't like was that the door to the bathroom is frosted/semi-transparent and we found the list of prices for potential damages a bit off-putting. Unfortunately, the on-site coin laundry wasn't working while we there, but we were able to find a nearby laundromat and the hotel had a ton of drying racks available to hang our laundry afterwards, which was great. Overall, we would recommend Kairos Tropea and we would stay again.

This was a beautiful hotel. Newly updated. Very clean. Family owned. All the family and staff that we encountered were super nice and helpful with any local recommendations. The hotel has a really nice pool. The included breakfast was very nice with food optiipns changing daily. It is a little bit of a walk to the main town…maybe 10 minutes. And the nearest beach is about a 15 min walk down hill. We had a great stay here.

It's the little things

This place is a 3.5. Pros: pretty new, close to grocery stores, short walk into town and a close walk to beaches. Cons: We booked the ocean view room and it was a partial view right off of the breakfast area. It was very noisy in the morning and one morning someone set up their workstation directly outside our door. Additionally, we were not advised of all day construction on the property (upper floor of the property). Almost no non meat options for breakfast. They make eggs once and put them in a warmer. If you dont get to breakfast early there will likely be no eggs left. The first day they had some cut up hot dogs to go with the eggs. Other b and bs we stayed in did eggs made to order. We also had to request coffee, no one would ask what they could get you in the morning. The person working there also seemed anxious for us to leave breakfast each morning. There was only one thin pillow per person. No water or coffee in the rooms

Our stay at Kairos Tropea was absolutely wonderful. The property is new, modern, beautifully designed, and immaculate. The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, away from the crowded and noisy centro, yet only about a 10-minute walk away. What truly makes Kairos special, though, is the family who runs it. The owners and staff are incredibly hospitable, attentive, warm, and friendly. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely at home and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. I would avoid this hotel at all costs. Before our stay, and well before the free cancellation period expired, I informed the hotel through the Hotels.com app that we were travelling with three children, including our 5-year-old son. He sleeps in the bed between us and does not require an extra bed. Then, one day into our stay, they suddenly demanded extra payment for our 5-year-old. There had been no mention of this before arrival or at check-in. Had they informed us before the cancellation deadline, we would simply have booked another hotel. When I questioned this, the receptionist said she could do nothing because it was “the boss’s order.” I asked to speak with the manager, but instead of coming to speak with us, the manager spoke through the phone after the receptionist called her and shouted loudly in Italian. It was both unprofessional and intimidating. In the end, I paid the extra fee because I didn’t want to ruin our family holiday, but the way this was handled left a very bad impression. The location was also VERY disappointing. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of construction work and run-down buildings, with significant noise during the day. It is also far from both the charming historic centre and the beach. Finally, the breakfast was poor and did not meet the standard we expected. Overall, this hotel failed on transparency, customer service, the way guests are treated as well as location. We certainly would not stay here again.

Their kindness and attention to detail made us feel completely at home. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, with a touch of luxury that made our stay feel extra special. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, from the comfortable beds to the high-quality finishes. Breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh, setting us up perfectly for our days exploring Tropea. A equipe transmite aquela sensação de estar em um hotel administrado com carinho, onde o hóspede realmente importa. Todos foram extremamente gentis, sempre atentos e disponíveis para ajudar. O hotel aparenta ter sido recentemente reformado. Os ambientes são modernos, muito limpos, organizados e agradavelmente perfumados. O quarto estava impecável, com roupa de cama de excelente qualidade, e diariamente, ao retornarmos dos passeios por Tropea, encontrávamos tudo perfeitamente limpo e arrumado. O café da manhã não é exuberante, mas entrega exatamente o que se espera para começar bem o dia: produtos frescos, saborosos e de qualidade. A piscina também merece destaque. É um ambiente muito agradável para relaxar no fim da tarde, depois de um dia inteiro de passeios ou de praia, proporcionando um momento de tranquilidade antes de sair para jantar. Um agradecimento especial ao Paolo, que nos levou para um passeio de barco (A parte) e sempre muito atencioso e gentil com nosso grupo. Em breve estaremos de volta!!

J'avais lu les avis avant de choisir ce charmant hôtel familial. Mes attentes étaient élevées et je n'ai pas été déçu. L'établissement est très propre, nouvellement rénové. La piscine est superbe. Le petit déjeuner de type buffet ( inclus) est copieux et varié. Les capuccino étaient délicieux. Paolo et Rosella vous font sentir à l'aise et sont à votre écoute. L'hôtel se situe dans le centre historique et les sites à visiter ( plages et monuments) sont accessibles à pied. Il y a des commerces autour de l'hôtel et une multitude de restaurants. Quel délicieux souvenir que ce séjour. Je recommande chaudement.

Wir haben einen tollen Urlaub genossen. Die Unterkunft ist familiengeführt und relativ neu. Alles ist sauber und es wird auch sehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet. - Verschmutzungen werden umgehend beseitigt. Die Zimmer und Balkone sind geräumig und sehr gut klimatisiert. Das Personal im Service, Rezeption und im Frühstücksrestaurant ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. - Ein großer Dank noch einmal an alle. Das Hotel bietet auch Ausflüge an. Wir habe eine tolle private Bootstour mit Paolo unternommen. - Wir können es sehr empfehlen. Paolo lässt keine Wünsche offen. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Hotel und in unmittelbarer Umgebung sind vorhanden. Das Zentrum und die Altstadt von Tropea sind fußläufig in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt) sind 3x in unmittelbarer Umgebung des Hotels erreichbar. Im Summe ein klare Empfehlung. Wenn wir noch einmal nach Tropea kommen, wird mit Sicherheit wieder das "Kairos" oder das Schwesterhotel "TownHouse" gewählt, was sich in derselben Liga sowie mitten im Zentrum von Tropea befindet.

Wir waren 3 Nächte dort. Es war alles sehr sauber und das Personal war hilfsbereit. Wir hatten jedoch ständig Probleme mit unserer Klimaanlage im Zimmer, da man sie nicht manuell anhand der Schalter im Zimmer einstellen konnte und es entweder zu warm oder zu kalt wurde. Das Personal konnte uns helfen aber wir mussten jeden Abend anrufen und dies erneut reklamieren, damit sie es im System anpassen. Das Hotel ist sehr neu und dementsprechend alles gut erhalten. Die Umgebung ist sehr unpassend. Die Häuser bzw. das Dorf sieht sehr herabgekommen aus. Wir waren mit dem Auto unterwegs und sind nur durchgefahren aber als eine Frau würde ich nicht abends dort rumlaufen wollen. Falls man also, wie wir, nur zum Schlafen das Hotel benutzen möchte, um die umliegenden Städte zu sehen, dann passt alles und man fühlt sich im Hotel wohl.
