Lovely

Lovely environment. Easy to get to room after hours. There are some buses to get there if not wanting to take a cab that can be very expensive. This is a place to stay if one has or is renting a car. Not the easiest if on foot or taking a bus (especially during a strike)

Great place to stay if you travel by car

The villa itself was great, clean and cosy room, nice breakfast in the garden. We didn't have a car and the only issue for us was that there is no public beach near it, it's basically impossible to safely get into water in that area because of rocks and cliffs everywhere. There are a few paid beach clubs nearby with pools, but they all were closed due to off-season (beginning of October). The nearest place where you could get into the sea is about 10km away (rocky entrance, not really good, but better than nothing), and we needed to take a bus with not very convenient schedule to get to it. With car getting to the beach is not an issue and the villa's location becomes quite convenient as you could travel along the seacoast from there without getting into traffic jams.

Quaint Comfy Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a Rick Steves recommendation. The breakfast, which was extra, was very good and plentiful. We had a car and there was parking right in front of the hotel. I would stay there again.

Beautiful BnB by the sea. We thouroghly enjoyed breakfast on the patio each morning and admired the garden courtyard. Everyone, including those in town, went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. Remember to get the Ortensia phone number to open the front gate.

Beautiful room furnished with antiques and art. Pretty small touches - beautiful bedding, marble-covered dressing tables, stone-clad shower walls. Handy kitchen and balcony for the guests disposal. Very comfy four poster bed. Breakfast paid separately - range of sweet bakes or cooked savoury breakfast on demand.

My husband and I visited Catania for 5 days. My Italian friend recommended us to stay away from central Catania so we looked for somewhere within reasonable distance from the airport (less than 30 minute drive). It's just under an hour drive to Taormina and to the meeting point at Mount Etna where we did excursion. The villa is so beautiful with a lovely garden. The area is quiet and near the sea. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Our room is so clean and tidy. Good selection of Sicilian breakfast too. They also provide private parking in a secure area which is important to us since we know vandalism is quite an issue there. We really feel safe to leave our car there. We had a very pleasant stay here. Recommend it!

Ok ophold men falsk varebetegnelse.....

Venligt værtspar, men ingen information ved ankomsten. Privat swimmingpool er en tilsnigelse, meget lille plastbassin ved naboen. Privat strand så vi intet til. Vi havde bestilt værelse med privat balkon, men fik et værelse med seperat balkon i forbindelse med fælles køkken. Ydermere var balkonen opbevaring for rengøringsmaterialer (koste, spande mm.). Ophold med morgenmad bestod af kagebord og havde intet med morgenmad at gøre. Kaffe og te i havneområdet var kun tilgængelig i forbindelse med morgenmaden og ryddet på alle andre tider. Ok, men heller ikke mere, da beskrivelse af stedet bestemt ikke lever op til virkeligheden.

sehr hübsches b&b, empfehlen wir weiter. Vorallem das Frühstück im Garten ist wirklich wunderschön. Die Gastgeber sind auch sehr freundlich und haben immer einige Tips. Wir haben es sehr genossen.
