Such a charming spot. Room was tiny so I wouldn’t probably stay here for a long time but all of the staff was super helpful and lovely. The location can’t be beat - just steps from a lovely beach. Water was warmer than other places.

The hotel has a great history The staff treated us like family walked us thru the hotel so we need where everything was. After dinner my husband and I were going to get a drink I went to the room when I got out Abel was there to escort me down. Wow just wow. our day was amazing the storytellers palace. The views were beautiful. We sat on the balcony and had coffee in the morning. We had one meal there that was outstanding. Overall, our experience with the staff in the hotel was very impressive.

Storyteller's Palace is incredibly lovely, the history of the house, the location across from the beach at Sao Martinho, Marco, Ni, Miguel and the wonderful staff which felt like family, the incredible dinner and breakfasts too~!! The place to stay.

Great location, great service and staff and great food. We discovered a flat tire on our rental car after we checked out and the staff contacted the rental car company and arranged a taxi and a tow truck to get the tire repaired. They went beyond!

The Storyteller hotel is a unique property with individual decorated rooms with well-known authors' names. Our room was very compact, but was really well decorated and beautiful, and seemed freshly renovated. The hotel is literally facing the beach, and listening to the sound of waves was lovely while I sleep.
