An amazing hotel with the views you can’t imagine. Right over Etna. There’s a lovely pool and great terraces to have a bottle of wine with your partner with. Staff were great and helpful. Th e cherry on the top is the fact they provide a shuttle bus to the centre of Taormina, without the bus it would be a hard job to walk Taormina’s wiggly roads more often without a pavement. Overall we had a great stay. The breakfast was something we will always me thinking off.

This was my first trip to Italy. Villa Angela was beautiful and clean. The staff was beyond helpful. When the hair dryer didn’t work, they found me one with a diffuser for my curls. (That never happens!) The food was delicious. The pool has a deep end. The swimming and lounging was perfect. Sam was extremely helpful and as I don’t speak Italian, his English is excellent and made it so much easier. It is further away from town, but the shuttle is quick and easy to schedule. I would totally stay again.

My husband and I both loved this beautiful hotel. From the time we were checked in by the lovely Ada, until the sad time when we had to leave. The hotel is lovely and the views are breathtaking. Our room was great and had a large terrace that looked out at Mt. Etna and the coastline below. Walter was great at driving us into town and back, as well as being informative about the area. The restaurant had a great view and a delicious choice of food on the menu. The breakfasts were also incredible! Our room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfy. We were already looking at available dates of when we could come back. It’s definitely a place we will return to again. Highly recommend this hotel and their wonderful, caring staff.

Excellent stay and would thoroughly recommend. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, rooms tastefully decorated and furnished and the swimming pool was such a relaxing space during the hot weather of our visit. Oh and views of Mt. Etna were stunning. The hotel shuttle bus for a small fee was essential due to the location up the hill.

Taormina Hilltop Hotel

Loved our stay at Villa Angela. The views from our balcony were amazing! High up on a hill, but the shuttle service to town was very handy. The entire hotel was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The hotel itself was very clean, with good size rooms with balconies to take in the wonderful views. In fact there are great views from all areas of the hotel and it’s in a really good position between the hustle of Taormina and the lovely hilltop town of Castelmola. We only stayed 2 nights as we were on a road trip around Sicily and although Taormina itself was our least favourite stop, that wasn’t because of the hotel and it could be used as a good base for a longer stay exploring the region, beaches etc. The town itself looks nice but was too busy for us and other than the amphitheatre it’s only really of interest if you want to shop in the designer stores that pack the old town. We ate in the hotel restaurant both nights and the food and service were very good and reasonably priced for Taormina. The breakfast was also good with lots of options and friendly, efficient service. We used the hotel shuttle which worked well, as did the local bus up to Castelmola (the bus stop is very near the hotel) and it was a wonderful little village with a nice walk back down. Parking is available here for a fee (14 euros per night I think?) and although the parking area looked tight, they moved and shuffled cars around for you when required.
