A wonderful place to stay and such welcoming and very kind hosts. The building dates back to the 1200s and we had a very charming and comfortable room. The location is perfect so close to the Campo, Palazzo Publicco and the Duomo. Our thanks again for kindly arranging our taxi back to the train station, it was hard to leave!

Palazzo Massi is a great place to stay in Siena. It is just 3 minutes of walk from Piazza del Campo, in a street with some restaurants. The host, Daniella, was responsive and welcoming. The room was on the 2nd floor, spacious, clean, with all necessary items, including an air fan to cool off. It is a historic, 400 year old building, so no AC, but the height of the ceiling is probably 5 meters, so the room doesn't get hot. Even though it didn't have an en-suite bathroom, I had exclusive access to a bathroom on the floor, which was clean and well appointed. I was very happy with my accommodation, and if I visit Siena again (I hope I will!), I will certainly state in Palazzo Massi again.

Super quaint hotel within walking steps of the palazzo pubblico. We enjoyed Daniela and her husband’s hospitality as they manage 2 floors here. It’s a simple stay with the necessities you need for your time in Siena and what a great way to support a local couple. We’d recommend. There are lots of nice restaurants and shops nearby too.

I was directed to this property through Rick Steves lodging recommendation in his book on Italy. It is steps away from the city center with great restaurants nearby. The hostess was so nice. The room was very clean and decorated with antiques. I would stay at the Palazzo Masi again if visiting Siena.

This is certainly an extraordinary place. A centuries old Palazzo right in the Centre of Siena. From here you can explore every part of the town in walking distance. The location is simple but charming. And charming and most welcoming is also la Signora Daniela who is running the place! To be recommended if you like it nice and simple.

Live in the heart of town like a Sienese

From the time we were welcomed by Daniela and Alizzardo, we felt part of the family and living in a home. Only five minutes from the Campo and the Duomo and yet in a quiet street away from tourist bustle. Huge room, elegantly appointed. Two flights of stairs to scale.

The Palazzo di Masi Princess & Prince

The hosts were so lovely and responded within moments of any inquiries. They helped me with luggage, restaurant reservations, and each day checked in to see if there was anything I needed. The location is perfect, the view from my lace curtained window charming. All you need & want is very close by. Easy taxi ride to & from the station (Daniella helped with that too!). If you want quiet, ask for a room in in the back, but I loved hearing all the Italian life outside my window! Can't wait to revisit!

Great location, but it is very confusing because the photo used for advertising is a museum it is not the place you are booking. Also it is not the kind of hotel we are use to book, it is difficult, because if you don’t get to the property on time for any reason, they leave and you have to wait outside with your suitcase and hot weather. Next time I will book a hotel with front desk. But I need to say that it was cleaned and nice room, bathroom and great location!

Criminally underrated

We arrived here whilst on a road trip exploring Italy and Daniela and Alizzardo were incredibly helpful giving us directions for the local parking (Il Campo) which was a clean and safe underground car park (discounted by staying at the Palazzo Masi) after the short walk up we were greeted by Daniela calling our names from high above their amazing property ! We were welcomed as if we were family and taken in to an amazing historic building (there are stairs to climb if you are packing heavy). Daniela and Alizzardo welcomed us with great English and gave us maps and all the information about the local area and what we could get up,recommendations for great food right on the doorstep too! This is also a PRIME property to stay for the Mille Miglia as the cars pass its front door !!! The room was super clean and had some antique furniture that complemented the whole experience. The view out of our window was breathtaking ,We wish we had stayed longer !
