We were warmly greeted on arrival. The property is beautiful and clean and all the staff were gracious hosts. The hotel is located in a hutong so not able to get dropped off or picked up in front of the property but only a short walk to the cross street. Upon arriving my wife explained that we had a taxi that refused to use the meter and charged almost 4 times the usual fare. Having taken a picture of the side and license plate of the cab the concierge immediately called the cab company and the authorities on our behalf. Was in China for a week, spent the first two nights in Beijing prior to leaving to Chongquig on business. Chose the JW Marriott because of the location. Short cab ride to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. The JW Marriott Central exceeded my expectations for cleanliness, staff training, and modern decor of the room. The electrical outlets in the room even accommodated US electrical outlets. On the way back from Chongquig, stayed at the JW Marriott again and upgraded to an executive suite....
Got a free upgrade to a suite, the room was absolutely gorgeous and spacious. We stayed for 6 days, hotel is closed to everything, Walmart, restaurants, shopping centers and theater all within walking distance. Hotel has a nicely equipped gym as well as a huge swimming pool. Overall we're really happy with our stay. Definitely will stay here again next time in Beijing.
The hotel was so close to Wangfujing street. I'm talking Walking distance to the marketplace. You can find anything from traditional stores, to souvenir shops, the mall, upscale retailers, tourist friendly familiar places like McDonald's and Starbucks. It was a block from the train station and maybe 20-30 minutes walking to tiannamen square and the forbidden city.

An excellent hotel in Beijing! The concierge team was outstanding, going above and beyond to secure entrance tickets to various sights of interest for us, which can be tricky for foreigners to do on their own. They were also super helpful in booking taxis, making our transportation hassle-free.

First of all when I arrived hotel I thought it was mistake,location is too far from center beijing, but found out it was good, actually I visited Beijing Zoo by subway , very accessible, not too far. Takes Subway line 16 ,and 7stops and transfer to line 4, and 8 srops it was great to visit Zoo...not bad at all....
And hotel was very clean and room was hot so told front desk and they brought potable Fan and Jack sent an house keeper and fixed problem in no times..

There is a lot of competition for hotels in Beijing. This one lives up to its status as a luxury hotel. The decor is spectacular, filled with lacquer, silk, and original artwork. The staff is incredibly professional. I did have a problem with the wifi and the staff went out of their way to solve the problem. And the location is really good, not far from historical/cultural sites, restaurants, and a metro stop.
