The hotel is comfortable. The air conditioning system is effective - it kept the room at a nice, constant temperature that we could set. The pool was great - it is bigger than many hotel pools. We were disappointed with breakfast. While the food provided was really good, the pricing was, in our opinion, inappropriate. To be specific, being limited to one egg when the price of the continental breakfast is 17.50 euros feels really cheap. When we ordered scrambled eggs, we got one scrambled egg for 5 euros. I would encourage the hotel managers to reconsider their pricing if they want to increase the number of customers from Northern Europe and North America, for whom having some form of protein at breakfast is really important.

My ferry was delayed by 4 hours and they held my table until 21.15. I arrived 21.12. They were happy to serve me a full meal which was great and the receptionist remember my breakfast order from last time in October. If you are returning north or going south this is a great stop off.. you could even stay longer as it is so beautiful. Highly highly recommended.

What a great find

Lovely hotel in a really good location, the room was wonderful very comfortable bed with a little balcony with a good view over the grounds. The restaurant was amazing with really good service and delicious food, only stayed one night on my way to spain for the weekend and will be staying there again on my return.

I really did not like the way the staff managed our request for eggs at breakfast. The hotel sets a limit of one egg per person; given the price of the breakfast and the price of eggs, I feel that limit does not make sense (my regular breakfast includes three eggs and that does not break the bank). When I asked for more, they said they had run out. I just don't appreciate this approach to cost management.

Good location just off of the motorway. Great grounds to walk the dog, Nice pool and a good breakfast with efficient service. Whilst we know the rooms ‘have character’ our room was very quirky with a very tiny bathroom which unfortunately didn’t work for us. Sadly one of our meals in the evening was not edible and whilst the staff apologised no alternative was offered. Disappointed that when we questioned the room after checking in and returned one dinner, no remedy or alternatives were offered. Despite the positive aspects of this hotel (this is our second stay) we are not likely to return again.

Sadly fell short of expectations

Generally the stay was fine however due to it being fully booked for dinner, we were unable to eat in the restaurant and were offered a salad in the Lounge or our room as our evening meal. We also felt that despite being told we could sit in the Lounge and have drinks, the service we received was compromised as priority was given to those people in the restaurant who were only visitors. This was disappointing as we were paying residents at the hotel. Additionally my wife is a vegetarian and there was a very limited offering.

Wonderful meal spoilt by very poor service.

The food was amazing, inventive, deliciously mouthwatering. Great imagination, wonderful presentation. Quite delicious and worth a visit Sadly the Service was not equally good. Had ask three times for the water we ordered. The very expensive wine was late arriving, had to ask twice for a wine cooler. Once opened no one attended to refill glasses which at 90 euros a bottle was disrespectful to the quality of the meal not to mention the diners. Our breakfast order was demanded on arrival at reception for checking in, despite an eight hour drive no concession was allowed for us to recover from the drive. Breakfast had to be pre-booked or would not be provided. Extremely disappointed at the attitude of the service, which totally detracted from the Dinner provided. Will not repeat the experience despite the excellent menu.
