I had a pleasant short stay @ La Colmena suites. Upon ringing the doorbell, I was cordially greeted by the staff and checked in in less than a minute. The room was cozy and had a nice view of the outside. The location is just a 10 minute walk from the metro. On the bottom floor there is a commons area with a kitchen, free snacks and beverages, and a fridge to store any food or groceries you purchase. Check out was a breeze and you can even store your luggage in the hotel for a few hours after check out in case you have some last things to do or see. I would highly recommend La Colmena Suites for a short stay here in CDMX

Got the side of the hotel that was facing the highway. It was super noisy at night which I expected reading the other reviews. I thought I could handle it since I'm from a major city, but even then it was a lot - but that was totally on me. Staff was super friendly and amenities were as stated. Room was as advertised. Balcony was basically shared with the next room which was kind of weird, but I just made sure the blinds were down and the door was locked at all times. My neighbor did talk very loudly at 3am on speaker phone while smoking cigarettes on the balcony, but that wasn't the hotels fault. Overall it was OK.

The property location is very convenient, rooms are too small. The small fan in the rooms does not really help to cool the room. All the noise from the cars and bikes from the street can be heard inside the rooms. All staff was very helpful and polite

It is basic!

It is a very basic hotel. I would say it’s more like a hostal with private rooms. The Wi-Fi worked and it did have hot water. However, the mattresses need a serious upgrade. I probably would not recommend this hotel during the summer as it would be extremely hot but the hotel was clean and this was a bonus!

The room was basic and clean, everyone friendly. Be careful when booking that you know which location you’re at. When I ordered an Uber from the airport, a different location was the only one that showed up in the Uber app and because the route path looked similar. I didn’t catch it and ended up wasting a lot of time and money. The hotel also lacks signage and does not look quite like the picture on the exterior so make sure you’re going by the street address. A decent shower was very much appreciated! Decent place for an overnight in CDMX, but I would stay elsewhere for a longer stay

Horrible stay. Holes in the bathroom and filled with ant piles. Bed did’t even have a headboard. Mattress was stacked against wall. Very filthy and unsanitary room. We asked to be moved and was told can’t do it; however, we saw other rooms were in better condition. Worst experience ever. Wouldn’t recommend.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights and unfortunately had a consistently uncomfortable experience. On the first night, I noticed a strong urine faeces-like odor in the room. The staff responded promptly and cleaned it, which I appreciated. However, the smell returned every night afterward, suggesting a possible underlying sewage or plumbing issue. The odor also spread into the bedroom area, making it difficult to rest comfortably. I believe it is a sewage issues because the manhole in the street outside the hotel also smelled like that. Additionally, there is a police vehicle stationed outside the hotel at night, and its flashing lights shine directly into the room. This made it even harder to sleep. Another inconvenience is that there is no elevator, so guests have to carry their luggage up multiple flights of stairs, which can be quite challenging. The bathroom setup was also not very functional. The showerhead is positioned extremely close to the wall, making it difficult to shower comfortably. The sink is also very low and awkwardly placed, which made simple tasks like brushing your teeth inconvenient. While I appreciated the staff’s initial effort to address the issue, the ongoing odor, poor sleep conditions, and impractical room layout significantly affected my stay. Blanca was lovely! Es un hospital bueno para viaje rápido a CDMX, cuenta con lo básico para una estancia tranquila. Solo que no cuenta con elevador y estuve en un 5to piso. Sin embargo, el personal siempre fue muy atento y estuvo al pendiente de las necesidades. Un detalle, en maps la ubicación del hotel está en esquina con avenidas Cuauhtemoc y en realidad esta a unas cinco esquinas de ahí, lo que confundió a nuestro taxi, cuestión de corregir la ubicación
