Stayed here for three nights. Room was very clean and in a convenient location. It was also nice that two small bottles of water, juice, and some light snacks were provided at no extra charge and replenished daily. From there, it was all downhill:
First of all, reservation was non refundable. The check in process was horrendous and unacceptable. There was zero communication from the host or response to requests. We were leaving from the US to Rome in four hours and still had no idea how to access the room. Finally had to contact Expedia who offered me the hosts phone number on Whatsapp. I contacted the host and still waited 5 hours for a response which requires a VERY complicated and thorough check in process, uploading of documents, and payment of $36 Euros city tax, before we were sent information on how to access the facilities. I basically got no sleep waiting for the response and worried we would land in Rome without any information about where to go
I then found out, the Martina Suites is not a suite after all. Instead it is a single bedroom with an attached bath. The extra rooms shown in the picture are merely a reception area shared with three other rooms that served no purpose.tm
The room lacked any type of drawer space or even space for luggage
Lastly, the lack of responsiveness from the host was appealing. It took at least 3 hours, sometimes longer to get a response. Response to the coffee maker not working was 'we cannot help you '. Stay away from place
