During our stay, we loved the mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. The rooms were spacious and the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and the tranquil garden and pool area were perfect. Plus, being so close to Lecce’s historic centre made exploring the area easy.

The masseria is lovely and has huge potential. The rooms are nice and the gardens and pool are lovely. Parking is easy. However, there were some issues. The pool was not well maintained and the jacuzzi was out of order. We mentioned this and it was repaired but was broken again the next day. We stayed for 3 nights. On night 1 we noticed a very pungent smell in our room emanating from the shower drain. We asked reception if they could supply bleach or something to pour down the drain. They said maintenance would look at it, and in the meantime we should close the bathroom door and open the window. It didn’t get fixed. There didn’t seem to be any lounge or bar area. Just a very sparsely decorated dining area. It’s a lovely building and I’m sure it’s hard to keep up. Perhaps it was just the end of the season, but it didn’t feel like the luxury villa we had booked.

Beautiful place, attentive staff. The location is a bit remote but does have a nice restaurant, breakfast and another restaurant next door for dining options. However the room should offer some basic amenities such as water and an iron.

I would never expect that Masseria could be so luxury… vip place! Simplicity and exceptional service and decor. Dinner was above any expectations and cocktail bar in church amazed your mind! Pool is a big bonus in hot days and just so relaxing looking from patio to windmills…

The buildings date back as far as 1400 and retains many original features. It is perfectly located in a quiet area within short driving distances to the historic city of Lecce and local beaches. The property has the benefit of a 1 star Michelin restaurant too, and is located close to many other authentic restaurants. The service is impeccable too.

The masseria is a beautiful property with a unique atmosphere and a great location if you want to explore lecce and the surrounding area, and overall we had a very good stay. we received truly outstanding service from the team, sylvia and alice greeted us on arrival and were exceptionally helpful and customer focused throughout our stay, and marco and sara were also very kind and attentive. our room was large and comfortable, and the presidential suite offered plenty of space with a big terrace that we really enjoyed. breakfast is fairly basic, and the overall experience would benefit from some additional maintenance and attention to infrastructure. on the first night the air conditioning stopped working and it was very hot, and on the second night the water briefly stopped running, which was frustrating. adding air conditioning in the bathroom and addressing these issues would elevate the experience to an exceptional level, because the setting and the team are already excellent. despite these points, we still had a great stay and are grateful to the whole team for their warm hospitality.

Superb and amazing stay.

A superb stay, beautifully converted Masseria, lovely room with a comfortable bed. Large terrace and superb pool and garden. Secure parking. The staff made it though - so helpful and welcoming -they just could not do enough to assist. A rare find these days. Extra bonus was a great restaurant next door ( separate owner) that offered local food and wines at great prices - we had 2 great meals there. Lovely beaches in 15-30 mins drive depending what you want. Cannot recommend enough!, we hope to be back.

I was not too surr what to expect at this propery from the photos but i tell you this place is amazing with such great vibes, quiet and peaceful. We stayed the the presidential and despite the somewhat challenging stairs, it was far worth the climb. This room was bright, happy, extremely spacious with blackout blinds, balcony and much appreciated ammenities. The breakfast…no words for this very tasty and generous breakfast with perfect presentation and service. Truly a great property…I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Our room was in poor condition. The toilet glass door was broken & could not be closed. The toilet itself was nor working properly. The shower head was spraying water to the sides instead of functioning like a rain shower it's supposed to be. Faucet levers had no handles.

Masseria Francescani is an unbelievably quiet, tranquil and relaxing place to stay. It felt like we were the only guests at time enjoying our own Masseria with their wonderful staff. The food options are limited but there’s much to explore in Lecce only a few miles away. Recommend renting a car. Great place for a short break.

Masseria time!

Just to let you know we enjoyed our stay at Masseria Francescani. Today we did the cheese lab and farm tour at Masseria Cinque Santi. FANTASTIC!! Not only an immersive experience in the country side of Puglia, very illustrative and rich! Antonio our guide explained everything in perfect English and took time for questions while we made cheese and understood the process, Lidia the owner was very friendly also Recommended 110%!
